I've had a fabulous couple of hours down the field with my allotment family.

We've been replanting a strawberry bed and putting in some salad leaves.
They've got me all excited again about growing stuff. They are like a shot of adrenalin:)

Big jobs coming up.....replant a plum tree, preparing a vast overgrown area for planting potatoes and investigating cider making:D

Aww, I have just put one of my fermentation vessels into recycling as I just dont have room. Anything you want to know, just ask away, and I have a scratter if you do end up doing it and need to borrow it. I have a great crop of apples, and for the first time my new(ish) pear tree has loads of pears on..shame I wont be there to enjoy the crop :( so no cider for me this year, but still have a good few bottles from the last 3 years maturing nicely. I only have a few bottles of it a month.

    Good evening.

Blackberries are ripening and plentiful - time to start harvesting :).

    Morning

Ending today, Cow & Gate Little Steamed Meals, £1.40 each or 2 for £2.00
Should compare to Morries £1 each, or Tesco 3 for £3.00 would have to buy in 6s
(Would depend on fillers which store it compared to)

Works out 50p each after APG either Morries or Tesco
