Good morning all, another warm one here.
I am so glad we tend to go on holiday later in the year, can you imagine how annoying it must be to be jetting off on a summer holiday to somewhere cooler than here :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Its a shame the Arla organic milk is no longer on offer for £1.25 in Sainsburys - not that they ever had much stock.
But £1.35 in Asda is good enough, jut not as easy to get to.
On the plus side though the Blue Diamond almonds are now £1 in Sainsbobs with 75p cashback from Q clciksnappy :T
So 25p a packet - if you have self discipline then you would divide a pack into 2 portions - red on the fat scale but a good source of fibre.
Stroopwaffles were just a one day offer on COS - I just got my packs for Q yesterday but my store had very little stock anyway
Just wondering now what is on the GJ list to get from sainsbobs ...TrulyMadly wrote: »I haven't put anything through since the weekend...sorry.
But just checked.
Anyone still have the Arla milk on COS....now down to £1.35 in A:)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

They are very moresish - you really do need to divide the pack into 2 otherwise the kcals are
Very good snack for you out on your bike though - stop the energy crash“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. And now Halifax are cutting their rewards on 2 of their current accounts from October.
I think it might be the final nail in the coffin for some people on the Ultimate Reward current account -there will be a shift to Nationwide - cheaper packaged account, 5% regular saver for a year and 5% on balances for a year
Even better if you know someone already with nationwide account which has the recommend a friend scheme worth £100

I saw that. I switched my main account to First Direct last year because they were offering a £125 switching bonus. We've still got two accounts with Halifax though as my husband refuses to switch!

yes our household account is with Nationwide and its good enough for the everyday bills but all of the other benefits have disappeared or been down graded over the years.
At one time all of our accounts were with Nationwide.
We have a credit card which pays cashback as a lump sum taken off the December bill but they reduced the cashback rate earlier this year so I am using the other cards now with better incentives.
They had regular saver accounts - firstly you could top up by up to £1000 a month, then £500 and now just £250 a month. And possibly just one year now.
They had a loyalty saver with tiered savings rates according to your length of service which when it first came out had a good rate of interest and now its just 1%
They had a good enough ISA rate if you could commit to a 4 year fix so we did. When these matured though there was nothing comparable so we moved the ISA out of nationwide.
We had the packaged bank account with them which was £10 a month but it then went up to £13. It included worldwide travel insurance but as OH has existing medical conditions we had to pay an extra amount on top. This year it was nearly £200 so also factoring in the £156 (12 x £13 per month) it worked out cheaper for us to organise our own travel insurance. So we downgraded the account to a normal flexaccount.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Halifax and BoS still have a nice 2.5% regular saving thing tho. So not all bad .........so far
Yes I was figuring that - so interest for a years saving might be £32 or thereabouts plus the £24 (12 x £2) - so roughly £1 week.
It all seems a lot of effort for not very much“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
