    Morning all :)

We've been having issues with our broadband lately. It's fine till about lunchtime, then keeps dropping in and out (mostly out) until early evening and then it works again.
VM engineer came yesterday and reckons its this warm weather messing with our "upstream number." Implausible as it sounds, it is the hottest part of the day when I have no internet so am having to work mornings and evenings instead. He gave us a new router and put a booster on but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
*sigh* I live in Hertfordshire, not the Sahara.

In other news my boys revealed their new kit yesterday. Stripes?! What's that all about. I'm starting to sound (and feel) like a grumpy old woman.

Did he not fiddle with the connections in your little box outside? It could be so many different things, but I would have checked how tight the F-types were outside.
    Clearly everything!

    What I can remember is:

Several 10 foot long oak tables.
clothes dryer (the old Victorian ones)
    Stainless steel tables.
    glasses
    crockery

.... that is all I can remember! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Does this mean your house is nearing completion?

OH does that, I don't think men are capable of looking for things and actually finding them. OH will ask me where something is, I will tell him, he will go and look there and not find it, I will go and show him it is sat in plain view :eek::eek:

I give my OH an a daily maximum - he can ask me where up to 3 things are but after that he is on his own - he has to find things himself.
With this in mind he does make an effort to find things himself first before asking me - but some days its not even 9 o'clock and he has reached the limit ....
Apparently he is the same in the office, always loosing stuff and someone having to help him find them ... but in the office there are at 3 of them and if he does drive them bats enough they can leave and get well out of his way ...

The worst of it is when he is looking for leads, connectors and chargers - they are all just black wire to me and I cant tell one from another or what connects to what else so he goes crackers when I just shrug my shoulders and give blank stares ...

We used to have a standard under the counter fridge until we changed to a tall 7 foot one with glass shelves so everything was very clearly visible - mainly it was to help OH as he was incapable of finding anything in the fridge ever apart from milk in the door. We also have a matching side by side freezer with pull out drawers. We have had them 5 years now and still he cant find anything even though each shelf or drawer has always had certain food categories ...

Anybody thinking about going to Farnborough Airshow? I know people do travel quite a long way for it.

Anyway, the Red Bull Air Race team are going to be there, and they are going to do a demo race :j:j:j

He did fiddle in the little box outside and also in the green pillar thing. Apparently it doesn't help that both get the full sun on them.
It's quite overcast at the moment so will be interesting to see what happens today.

Unfortunately the F-types are metal (they are the connector plugs) so do tend to be affected by sun. He obviously did put in quite a bit of effort, you often get engineers that simply are not willing to try but you got a good 'un. Hope it is better for you today.

Very impressed. How long does it take and od you have showers in your workplace? And will you be running home as well?

Errant son often got a lift into work if he was doing an early shift and then ran home in the afternoon, about 5 miles - and then straight into the shower :)
