A little puzzle for anyone that is around.

Fred is twice as old as Sue was when Fred was as old as Sue is now.

    How old are they now?

Dont know the answer by the way but have had this puzzle on a screwed up bit of paper for yonks. Still cant work it out, although I sometime in the dim and distant past have scribbled an answer on the bottom but dont know if its anywhere near right. Too much for my addled brain.

Well, I'm 65 but I haven't a clue about Sue. My brain is frazzled too:(

Go to Tesco a few times at final reductions and see if you can get barbecue meat in the 3 for £10 deal which will still take the £2 off like scramps did. Go on nights when the weather hasn't been too good

    Thanks

I have never managed to find out when they do the reductions in our T...:(. I have been going to Asda whoopies - but only found 1 pack of burgers... I need to be near TM!

I do have some bread in the freezer, Brie in the fridge, cake mixes and wine.... just everything else is needed!

I think it is going to be very stressful.

The best time to try tesco would imo be a sunday afternoon then you wont have to wait around for so long as most close at 4 so go around 2 and have a wander round while regularly checking the reductions. If they take them out back hang around if you can bare it. Serious savings to be made if you can put up with it lol

Do you have any Aldi stores locally?

They have started doing red label reductions - items at half price. They are not always obvious as it is a red strip stuck on the packaging and is only about half an inch wide.

This morning in both my locals they had loads of sausages and burgers half price. Chickens 'cook in the bag', pork joints, etc.

Lots of salad packs and also coleslaw and pasta salads.

If it's not for tomorrow, you could call in a few mornings for sausages etc and freeze them.

The reductions are done for 8.00 am when the stores open.

Or Lidl nearby? They do 30% reductions for store opening but Lidl reductions always have the next day on them, whereas Aldi are on the day/date.
