Not sure what went wrong here? Yogs all good but both Linda McCartney products showing £1 in M on mysupermarket :(

I think the Linda McCartney products could have gone to £1 in M only on Wednesday. We are not on Wednesday yet, for shops done on that day itself - we are still on Monday. Although I didn't visit M this time on Monday to see whether the Linda McCartneys were full price M then, more items tend to end on Tuesdays rather than Sundays and new offers start the following day. There were a couple of additional frozen Quorn products to the ones I already have ongoing from last week, that may have started on offer on Wednesday along with the two Linda McCartney products.

No they shouldn't - they probably also only started on offer on Wednesday:(. Careful on this - the APG does not update immediately and won't pick up offers on the day they change in M. I think I have noted the 3 for £3 pricing yesterday now in relation to a number of these packs together with either an exclamation mark to indicate too dear or unnecessary extra purchases or with a bang-head-against-wall as the Quavers at least have gone from straight £1 to 3 for £3 (via full price last week). Fwiw, I have 20 pack Wotsits at £2 in M but that may be a TBG item.

The Chopped Apricots probably should have compared - I noticed some Blanched Almonds go from £1 RTC back to full price £2 last week and I bet there are some Apricots within weight range in M that do work out at that M price:(. They clearly have picked up something from somewhere - I only wouldn't know as, obviously, I am looking at "low" priced items in M rather than items at full price (unless it's to see that an offer may have expired and items gone back to full price). If msm has "---" for M, that can't be relied upon as there are still a lot of items that M has that aren't online and, whilst I find items in M that have "---" online, M probably does have some Apricots at £2.18 or equivalent instore.

I thought I mentioned that I was going back to M yesterday evening, but it seems I didn't; instead I mentioned earlier that I was going to A and M in the afternoon. I think I didn't have time in my window of about an hour here at teatime as I really did need to go out. That should have been around two hours but I'd ended up spending twice the planned time at one of my afternoon stores as they have a whole range of items, none of which were in my earlier stores, showing RTCs so I spent a substantial amount of time with those.

I eventually did get to my final store but I went out slightly later than I needed to (by all of about five minutes). This was because I realised, by the time I got back, the timings would not work - it would leave me a few minutes before midnight to try to get to A (as I'd decided to do a further £3 Muller shop) which just would not work. So instead I tried to find an A on my route back from M and to work out how to get there - which was not that difficult in fact as it was only one street off from my route, but I spent time needing to see Google Street View to know when to make that turn. I really did need to go out to M when I did. I only one sheet of page with me - forgetting that there would be lots of items from M's pound shop to take down, which added to the time and I ended up just about finishing at closing time. I had more or less finished with the items I had outstanding and had checked several of them to see that they weren't there (the way this works - some of them I look for them to see if I can get a further price although I have got information from several previous stores anyway).

I was left with one item that is not online that I didn't see but, although I had it outstanding and intended to see it if I could, it was probably not in this store and I'm not too concerned about it as it most probably will not have changed and there are always items I don't have as they will be at some store I can't visit as I'd need at least three times as many stores as I can visit in a day to begin to try to see everything.

I've resolved the Paul Hollywood cake mix from last week which I had at £2.25 but left at £1 question mark on the list, unable to scan to check to see its real price back then and I didn't find it in any other store as all the stores that had still been showing £1, I suspect, had cleared out. I managed to scan it this time - and it turns out my store has gone to incorrect full price on the item. I think this might happen because the product may have gone from the shelves causing the SEL to be taken away. The store may then have found more stock and put it onto the shelf, and because there wasn't any SEL when it brought out the further stock, staff initially put up a full price label which they may or may not change later. It's the usual situation we have seen before - all the stores that have the RTC on the SEL clear out, leaving the clearance products on the shelves in stores that don't have SELs or have incorrect full price showing. However, my store had previously shown the £1 RTC SEL and the store had wrongly changed to full price (I think possibly caused by the reason I've stated). I just don't know when that happens though, if the RTC has really ended and the item gone to full price - or whether the item is still on RTC, particularly if I don't then find any trace of it any longer in any other stores I happen to be visiting (though the product will doubtless be somewhere further).

Having resolved the Paul Hollywood mix, it's time for me to move into doubt on other items:rotfl::(. I found Carling Zest Citrus 12 pack with a £3 offer card this time, although my store may have been unintentionally playing with me as the card was moved about by the time I left the store although it was still showing. I think it may possibly have been a customer taking some stock and putting the card back in a different place. It seems to me from the offer card that this product had gone back to £3 yesterday. It certainly was £6.10 on at least part of last week, at least in one store, as I did eventually manage to scan it on Thursday and it scanned at £6.10 in the store where I tried it and two other stores that day were also showing £6.10 on their offer cards. I don't know why it seems they put products to full price for less than a week and then apparently back down again. Perhaps trying to have some weekend shoppers buying at £6.10 I don't know.

The £3 I saw did not say that it was an RTC price and, indeed, it's not even an offer price, although many people may assume that a yellow label means that it is an offer when it is not. I did have the item down to further stores yesterday to see if I could find another place also showing £3. However, I had no trace in all the other stores I happened to visit - so, I will just put it onto the list with £3 price, taken on Wednesday, as presumably it is available from at least one store for that price if that price is being displayed. I will probably never see it again:rotfl:. There was now less stock in my store than before - and even less when I left - and, for all I know, if it went to £3 again, it could do back to £6.10 at any time but will probably remain on my list at £3 for months now as I may have no trace of it again.

I am left not knowing whether the Mission Deli mini wraps, which are most probably not online, are still 50p in M. Unfortunately my one store where I had a couple of them seems to have pulled the 50p SELs off the shelf and hadn't got any SELs in place by the time of my visit and I had no trace of the products in my other stores. It's these bakery items that sometimes disappear entirely from several stores - and the APG does occasionally not pick them up either. I think I'm going to have to take it, at least for now, that the items have gone up in price as the SELs have been removed. The trouble is this has sometimes happened when there has been no change in price and items have remained on offer.

The Tuc Mini Crackers (200g) - it was confirmed a few weeks ago that only the Original version and not Cheese was on the offer this time - has now vanished entirely from the stores I tried and I'm in a bit of doubt over an item that has gone full price SEL in one of my stores, after online has been showing throughout some full price (whether the same price or maybe it isn't:rotfl: - will be checked later) but another of my stores has kept the same RTC prices displaying on the range of items as before. Again, this range wasn't in any of the other stores and ideally I would have liked more than two stores and then seeing different things within them but instead I am left in doubt. I may be one inclined to think it's RTC if the full price online is different to the maybe even higher price SEL that I now have in one of my stores. We shall see.

I've concluded that the McVities slices and hobnob slices etc., which all went to £1 online after being due to have ended on Monday, are still on 67p instore except for Apple Pie and Banofee that have it seems gone to £1. That's the general conclusion I'm getting - still seeing 67p on most of them but Apple Pie and Banofee seem to have gone to £1 although it would have helped if I didn't have one of my stores showing both prices on some of the products. The store after that was then used to try to resolve the situation - and again it seemed Apple Pie and Banoffee are ones showing full price and all of my stores have left 67p up on several of them so I'm thinking they are still mostly 67p.

My final store, which was chosen for at least a couple of reasons, had a whole range of additional items for me. I sometimes don't get the wider world foods ranges in my stores and use online to fill in the information on weeks I don't visit my wider world foods store. I noticed that there were a couple of offers on world foods that I had due to end on Tuesday and that the items in question were just about the only two world foods items that my usual wider world foods store has not had:(. It did have one of the items a while ago but has not had it there for a few months and it's also no longer found at one of my usual stores. The other item isn't in my usual stores (I usually rely on online but that was now suggesting offer may be ending) and it is hit and miss as to whether it appears in this store. I therefore chose a different store this time, hoping to find (which I did) both of those items, although it would miss out on a few items I have at my other store - I may pick those up again next week (online now suggests some range there has gone onto offer) if I visit my other store then.

I'm doing well it seems though.

Rubicon Watermelon Juice Drink (1L)£1.00 £1.00 This says £1.27 on m.com but I am not convinced - I suspect it is £1 in M although I have not had the product in any of my Ms.

Fwiw, I now have this product in the store I visited yesterday and, along with the Pomegranate Juice, it is showing £1! So I was quite right therefore to take it that Watermelon version, which I don't have in any of my usual stores, just this one (rarely visited) just now, is also £1. That is if I can rely on SELs - although I have now seen Pomegranate at three separate places over the space of several weeks showing £1 in each. Both are or have been showing £1.27 online but what I think has happened is that they are new items on there and are either full price online or have appeared online and initially appeared at full price and the offers never been put on there. I had £1 from instore before they appeared online and, when they appeared online showing £1.27, I therefore doubted that that was correct. This caused me to revisit one store where I have the Pomegranate product and - indeed still showing £1 and, later, when I visited another place, £1 again.

I have got a lot more from the store than I expected but the downside is that a few other items that I would very likely have had elsewhere are missing or one of the ranges I have in the set of stores I visited yesterday is a bit bitty. Having had full price SELs in two earlier stores, simply because the products are not regularly there and seem to have appeared to make a few random visits, I thought the other store tonight was possibly one that regularly has the items, that I would miss out on through not being able to visit my other store. I had some of them but didn't have offer price on all of the range:(. Given the two earlier stores' incorrect suggestions of full price could have meant the offer has ended and now full price on all of them, I picked up one of the products showing full price in the store that was not consistent across them all (people don't do a full job!:() and just before I left scanned it and found it was indeed on offer price.

I also picked up the item that I usually only have in two stores - both of them still showing offer price (one of those didn't even have as much as that before:() but which was due to have ended, had changed to full price online by Monday, but then items sometimes automatically seem to change to full price (unless they are clear rollovers) online even if they continue on offer instore. I have my two stores showing offer price but this other store, not known what it was showing before, now showing me full price (could it 'always' have had full price and never shown the offer or has the item now gone to full price?) and, sure enough, two stores offer price, one store full price, no trace elsewhere - it is really full price!:rotfl: So, my minority store actually turns out to be correct (at least in its own store) and I have offer prices showing when items are full price and items showing full price - this store does not seem to have changed several of its SELs - when the items are it seems on offer (and the other full price item I scanned was on offer).

On that, I have a couple of items that have remained on offer instore even though the online offer ended (my stores all continuing to show offer prices which turned out to be on offer) - but they have now it seems ended instore (more than a couple of stores have changed them to full price) and I will be moving them to full price and putting them in line with online when I come to update the list (which will probably be a very long update given all the ranges of items I saw).

Finally, visiting this store I chose I also found one outstanding RTC item that I have now lost from my original store. I managed to find it at this carefully-chosen store - together with another item in the same range that is also showing the RTC that I haven't had before now but was undoubtedly on the same RTC already last week.

My evening yoghurt shop worked and I didn't have to pluck up courage to try to go to the same members of staff on SS machines time after time as they don't know me in there:cool:.

(Comp. not posted - didn't see much point as it seems to me this will now be over. I did find 'evidence' of the offer ending this time as we expected - in both my earlier A in the afternoon and now in this store that I've never ever visited before at any time in my life - no offers were showing on the SELs in either store but of course they went through at 10 for £3.)
