Right here we go told on Thursday mum was walking she had walked down corridor.

Aunty went Friday seeing her and got told mum had walked part of corridor.

Yesterday I visited and mum was sat at table finishing her dinner/lunch.

After carer gets frame to take her from table she sat in wheelchair to easy chair.

Mum couldn't stand said it was because I was there so I go in other room while still spying ;)

She couldn't do it they had to get as near to easy chair as possible and lift her in.

Bit later mum needed toilet so they get frame I go out she still couldn't stand.

So I go in say my goodbyes but carry on spying and see them get this tall thing where mum stands on it and holds on then 2 carers put her in wheelchair.

Today I get there just when she finished dinner/lunch and go out when they move her from wheelchair to easy chair .

Mum managed to stand and walk all of 2 steps from wheelchair to easy chair .

So I cant say I have seen her walking anywhere and from what I have seen don't think she as

    :(:(:(:(

tweets I would be worried :( There is a very good reason they like to get people up and walking after an operation, even when they feel rough as ****. Muscle loss happens at an alarming rate when they are not being used and so much harder to rebuild :(:(

My nan broke her hip, and I think it broke her. She could move about using a zimmer, but she spent many years living in her front room with carers popping in. She was a stubborn so and so and just sort of give up which is not the person I knew her to be :(:(
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Found a nice Wimbledon (I love what autocorrect did there so I'm leaving it in) with a £16 bottle of gin.....and a ballpoint pen as the eighth item so doesn't compare. Don't these muggles realise how rude that is?!

    :rotfl:

I have another one today where they keep buying multiples of the same item - looks like they have left me with seven items unless the charcoal they bought counts as grocery which it probably does not.

This one has given me a penny more, but still left with pence as they are buying the wrong things:mad:. The extra penny comes from the 10% on them buying minicans without buying the mbuy that would have been outright cheaper, even though that is an effective increase from previous mbuys of 4 for £1 via straight full price that was even worse. They are now 5 for £1.50. Of course buy 4 for £1.60:wall::

    4:rotfl:x Diet Coke Mini Can (150ml) £1.60 £1.60

Elsewhere I have people buying 2 pack Ginsters Cornish Pasties at £1 thinking they are cheaper when 4 pack vs £1.50 at T, which works out at the same price (no 10%) as price-increased SP Minced Beef & Veg. Pasty, would be cheaper. In fact I have adjusted the after APG price of Ginsters 4 pack upwards due to them being 20g lower weight per pasty than the SP pasties. I did not notice the 20g lower weight - in that I still felt full after I had eaten one of them with one of my meals. So in effect they are now cheaper as the 20g lower weight makes no difference to me on this item as still adequate enough so paying fewer pence than nowadays priced-increased SP. (This was unlike the downsized Birds Eye Crispy Chicken where I didn't feel full, and also on the downsized Young's Kipper to some extent where one kipper now seemed hardly adequate even though, back then, it was on RTC that was lower price than regular offers on the previous pack size even adjusting the price back upwards to account for the less product.)

I also had someone buying some £4 kitchen rolls, but they got a 3 pack XL size so N/A vs M:mad:.

All into the same paypal account too? Darn, I could have got more beer!!

As Little Anons may not be quite old enough for their own accounts yet, they get payouts in Am4zon vouchers ;). For CoS you can have the same bank account or PPal linked to two accounts. CS/Q payout in Am4zon too :).

This sounds like mum she stubborn but I would have thought she would be trying her hardest to walk just to get home .

Will have to keep my eye on that she will lie to get home .

Forgot to say mum was supposed to go hospital Monday gone bro was taking her.

I drummed it into him he had to be at home for 12 ready for transport.

I get home from work Monday and  bro rings me . Mums appointment was 2-15pm and bro rang before this telling me he home.

Tells me transport turns up but it wasn't for a wheelchair so couldn't take her so they cancel appointment

Only when he hung up did I think why didn't him or home get a taxi that took a wheelchair and pay get mum there.

Found out bro lying  ambulance turned up and bro had gone home with partner and was told only one was allowed in ambulance not 2 so that was that.

Mum got new appointment next Monday 2-35pm so I will be taking her and she will get there .

Not spoke to bro since not happy though he could have sent partner home . Mum doesn't even like her and she had no need to be there :(

tweets, I have been skim reading so if I have gaps please ignore me. When trying to promote mobility in elderly patients when recovering from operations, it is quiet routine to 'walk' the person down the corridor (or where there is space). Usually this is two members of staff holding them up, and encouraging them to use their legs... it can take a long time dependent on the persons health/mobility but also their willingness to walk. It does sound as if she is making progress which is great.

I totally agree. Slap your brother hard. Make sure you take regular days off from visiting. The home should have social activities that she can participate in.... she may never want to leave (many people hate the idea of a home, but when they have to go temporarily they don't want to leave). x
