There is a very funny thread on twitter posted by a Dad who accompanied kids on a school trip. An experience never to be repeated apparently.

The meal deal is on in sparks.
2 chickens and the £1 off meat and £2 off food both kicked in. So £17 for 2 deals.

Wondering now if any of the wine discounts would have worked, as there's an offer when you buy 4 bottles on the card and 25% off 6.
    Does anyone know please?????
    Tia.

TS so sorry to hear your news. Snap, hope all goes as well as possible.

Thanks for the various reminders about the Virgin trains via Nectar, I have made my booking for a journey I actually need to take :).

I screenshotted the last offer -- I'd made the booking on 25 April and the bonus points have not yet been put on. Will phone them on Friday if nothing has happened before then as I am away now for work for a couple of days.

I tend to go via FB and messenger, usually very quick and straight forward - you need your booking ref number, start point, nectar card number, email address, DOB ... I tend to copy and paste these details now straight onto the google calendar for a months time to remind me to see if they have been added.

When I checked earlier this week the points for the most recent trip had been added - 700 points but then I noticed that the late March one hadn't gone on so I went via messenger and about half an hour later after a nice chat with my new best friend Courtney, 600 points were added on :T

    Morning all

Just a quick one to let you know of something very strange i saw in S this morning - i have been watching some washing up liquid on their clearance shelf, which has been £1 for the last couple of weeks. Usually in that store, after a couple of weeks it goes to 20p.

This morning the WUL price had actually INCREASED to £1.13! I have never seen that before :rotfl: Clearance prices going up :rotfl:

Are you sure? Have you checked the price at both SS and at the till (and at the CS desk if necessary)?

S's systems seem, at the moment, to work the opposite way to M. In M, I can't rely on anything I'm told at the till - the 'price enquiry' option apparently does not give offer prices but returns full price. This seems to be on items that have the offer on the SS machines in the form of full price minus discount. Only if the cashier at the till checks in a different way to enquiring on the price does it seem the correct price, if it's an offer price in the form of 'full price minus discount', comes back.

At S, I no longer know what the price of anything is:rotfl:. Last time I posted on here regarding S I think it was about an item I'd seen showing "reduced label" at one of my Ss that was OOS in the store. Online had full price £3. I found stock at another S - and pick between reduced to clear price of something like 49p and full price £3 online and it scans at... £2:rotfl:.

I'm now not sure whether the £2 the SS displayed, and that I would have had to pay if buying the item at SS, was the correct price or not. For all know, it could have been on the cheap RTC price if I'd had the item scanned at the till - or at the CS desk. It could still be on RTC price in S either in some stores or even in the store where my SS machine came back with £2.

On Monday I went to S having spotted an item on offer online (it doesn't matter what the item is). It was available in my S and had the offer price on the SEL (crossed out full price). It scanned at SS at the full price, causing me to ask for the SEL price. The SA went off to the shelf, to check that I was looking at the correct item, and indeed offer price. They said the item had been on offer but had gone back up to full price (that's what it was returning on the SS machine) - they could manually change it to give me the offer but would have to take the items to a till. They cancelled the items I was buying and took them to the CS desk. It was now less than ten minutes after I'd scanned at SS, and still on the same day. The item scanned at the CS desk till at the offer price:rotfl:.

I think, rather than the item going off offer, as I hadn't seen it before online, it could have been going onto offer. It could have been that it was Monday - online price showing for Tuesday and I think Tuesday is changeover day in S and that the SS hadn't yet updated to the offer price but the CS desk machine had.

However, given that my "£3" SEL item scanned at £2 at the SS last time, I'm now not even sure that that was the real price:rotfl:. Could have been even cheaper at the CS desk machine, maybe the RTC price displaying at the other store, as, at S, due to having two different prices coming back on SS and CS desk within minutes of each other on the same day, I no longer know whether the SS machine is giving the correct price or not as the CS machine gave me a different price:rotfl::rotfl:. So I don't know whether that £2 that I posted about before was correct information or not now - as I only checked the product at the SS and it scanned at that but the SS machine I used could have been not updated and the price it returned could have been wrong.
