I blame councils for high parking prices and high rates. You can park for the whole day in Chatham for what it would cost us for a couple of hours in our local town, and we were promptly told we had chosen an expensive car park :eek:

We no longer drive there, we used to when we knew where all the free spaces were, but they have stopped that, there are no longer free spaces apart from on the high street, but they are like gold dust. If we want something there I cycle.

If we want something large we go to a local town where the first hour of parking is free.
