One Mother watching :
One Mother watching, one Mother proud,
Two Nations witness and cheering aloud,
One bride devoted, one groom to take,
One life together, one love to make.
One modern marriage in one ancient place,
Two blessed children Gods given grace,
Ancient traditions Hymns sung this day,
One future King to give her away.
One Mother witness, heart filled with pride,
Standing so proudly at her daughter's side,
History making in England's own way,
Two Nations witness, our faith on this day.

Lovely sentiment.
I actually thought the bravest lady there today was Meghan's mother. So dignified and a lovely outfit.
Having brought up my own DD alone and having lived alone for many many years, I can honestly say I have never felt lonely, except when attending her wedding. I'd organised a companion but it's not the same as having a partner.
