The main reason I asked was that I don't have a contactless card :rotfl::rotfl: I'm so behind with the times, probably never sent me one as I rarely use my card at all.

When I first got Apple pay, I added a nationwide cash card that wasn’t contactless and it worked. I think i got a letter saying they were introducing contactless in the near future so I tried.

Don’t know if it would work on Android pay.

I am going to drink gin..... no wine for me.

The food should not be too bad as most is veg and meat. The roasts are SW friendly. So just the Yorkshire puds and gravy! Fruit for pudding.

Then again, I think everything will go to pot on the day.... but gin will save the day!

In W earlier, I managed to spend just over £40 as I had a £4 off £40 (not as good as some of you!), the 10% BG and MyP.

10% and the £4 wouldn’t work together on SS - so the supervisor cancelled the £4 and added it manually :D.

£40 ish down to £15 including 4 150g Gold Blend, 2 large Marmite, 4 Sweet chilli nuts, newspaper, magazine, Latte and a couple of fillers :).

I know this is not as good as some of you achieve, but it was items I get through. My BG voucher is dated 20/11 :(, so it can be rejected after tomorrow (did we work out what the latest date was, as the barcode seemed to be the same?).

    Afternoon all

I have an SOS - any suggestions greatfully received.

This morning I dropped the C bomb and asked for the Christmas lists for my 2 eldests.

Eldest son has asked for a knife set in a block and a saucepan set - OMG I have no idea where to start looking - if anyone has any ideas please.

There is no set budget but obviously not OTT eg Le Cruset - GF is very dainty and petite so I dont think she could manhandle cast iron anyway.
They both cook from scratch most days of the week, 2 young trendy twenty somethings - possibly pans with glass lids and possibly things that go from stove top to oven.

I had a look at Joseph knives but they are OMG price so maybe the next level down.

But he has now sent me a picture of baccarak knife set from a US website at 99 dollars !!!!

I got my saucepan set a couple of years ago from Costco. I looked around a bit and it was far cheaper there and excellent quality. If you don't belong, someone you know might do? It's worth a punt. They are not cheap, but you get a lot of saucepans:

    https://www.costco.co.uk/view/p/kirkland-signature-15-piece-hard-anodised-cookware-set-695900

They are often cheaper in store and sometimes there is more choice. But I think non-members can buy from the website too.
