I have no proof, but can we really say that absolutely every unit of stock that M ever had before Easter has now completely gone in every store nationwide and the product is now not available at all from M? It's like the absence of (current) evidence is not evidence of absence. I think we may reasonably infer that, with the product having been available before in M recently, the product is still available somewhere with it now being only a week later.

Or is it like proving the non-existence (or existence:eek::rotfl:) of Bigfoot or unicorns or little green aliens? How do we know that they do not exist, merely because they have not been yet observed by humans?

I assert that the Double Decker Large Egg was available in M on price collection day as it is likely to be somewhere. You can't prove it was not! Of course, if the next store comes up no trace, what about the next one? And the next after that? Until every public place from which any item at all could be sold in every store in the whole country has been searched and the product not found. Until then I maintain that it is available in M somewhere and you cannot show me that it isn't!

Unlike Bigfoot, I think we did have evidence of the existence of the Double Decker egg in M before. So, with that previous evidence of its actual existence, I think it is reasonable to conclude that it is available somewhere in M now. (And can someone show that I am right, by finding it straight in their M? Even if no-one here can or if no-one posts to say that they can, that does not provide evidence that it is not in existence, merely that no-one currently has found it or just that no-one has posted to say that they have.)

However, it is the burden of proving a claim. It would rest on me to proof that it exists if I claim it does. Nonetheless the "N/A" suggests it is not available in M which is not (or not yet, until a thorough search of every place in every store is carried out) proven to be true. However, the "N/A" just means the price collectors haven't found it, which is undoubtedly true. Even so, if someone asserts that it does not exist in M now, that also cannot be proven to be true. Besides, what evidence has anyone got to contradict my assertion that it is available? Without any basis on which to challenge my claim, there is no challenge on which to say that it is not true. I think it is reasonable and there is more credibility to support an assertion that it is still in existence now than one that it no longer exists at all anywhere in M. Perhaps we ought to ask whoever in M is responsible for updating m.com whether the product exists anywhere available for sale in M's estate. After all, they are "sourcing detailed information" and will therefore soon be able to tell us:rotfl:!
