OMG - did you injure any bits of yourself apart from your pride and dignity?

You do realise that these boots hate you, twice they have tried to get you killed so you need to do something drastic now - me personally I would even give them to the charity shop, they would go into the shoe recycling :)

No dont laugh, I am being serious, I think some inanimate objects do have a malevolent life force.

Shoes in particular can be friendly happy souls or wretched miserable things intent on causing untold pain and agony and some are even want to do serious harm to their wears

I’m up early. Busy day ahead.

I didn’t get to tell you about my mishap yesterday.

As usual I was rushing around to an appointment early yesterday morning. I usually park in A’s car park close to where I had a meeting. There had been a bit of a ground frost yesterday, but I was surprised to see that A had salted/ gritted the entire car park with what looked like tiny little plastic balls.
I was wearing a pair of kitten heel boots freshly out of my winter wardrobe. If I’d thought about it , I would have remembered that I nearly broke my neck in them last year on a slippy floor.

I think you can see where I’m going with this:o

Within yards of leaving the car, I did a bambi on ice impersonation and fell spectacularly on these blooming slippy things.....just as a car was turning the corner into the car park. It was impossible to save myself and I fell, just glancing my head against the front wheel of the oncoming car.

I was totally unhurt and felt more embarrassed than anything else:o

Needless to say, I spent the rest of the day contemplating what might have been and how in a split second your life can change or even end:eek:

I realised my family would have misrepresented my demise......well.....she died doing what she loved.....wombling:rotfl:

I thought about “poetic justice” and “divine retribution”......meeting my maker in an Asda car park:rotfl:

I would like to think that my tombstne would read “ she lived by the sword and died by the sword” but more likely would be.....

“Here lies TM, squashed in an Asda carpark”

    :rotfl::rotfl:
“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”

Either Liverpool or Birmingham - 45 mins in ine direction or an hour in the other :(

We have found a local shop thst does repairs but its only open on Monday so it has to wait until then.

But we sorted out a few other little problems today - new headphone wires for when hes running, new charger cable and some silver frames for certificates - and for these kindnesses he presented me with the biggest hugest load of dark washing he has managed to produce in 3 days :(
I am a legend in my own lifetime :rotfl:

I haven t been to Birmingham for years . I may have to have a trip one day before Christmas .

Thailand, no that would be dreadful.
We always thought he would move on eventually from HK to Australia and actually I felt I could cope with this, it would have suited him, the climate, the lifestyle etc
He is off to see the wife for a month over Christmas - I have studiously not been reading any news in case I come across the usual horror stories ...

My eldest is living there, and looking for a property to buy.... so no horror stories over there at this moment, fingers crossed.
