Does anybody remember the Pampas Grass stories on here a few years ago? I think it was instigated by you judging by the abundant and well-trimmed Pampas Grass in your front garden:D

well good morning to you, on a lovely sunny morning:)
hope you are feeling better and obviously your eyes are improving

Good morning Hillbern and thank you. I’m feeling able to read at the moment but I’m expecting side effects today or tomorrow, so probably won’t be able to see very well, again  I’m having to put up with it though as I’m fretting that I won’t be able to go on holiday April 30th. I’m longing to get some warm sun on my skin whilst I sit in the shade and shade bathe :rotfl: :rotfl:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Off to find a charger  why is it always me that has to do it :cool:There's no place like home

So, on this bright sunny morning I’m here :T. Might just manage a couple of days as I’m on a further course of antibiotics, two weeks worth this time. Side effects have been quite horrendous but the worst has been blurred vision. I’m having to put up with it though as I’m desperate to get rid of this phlebitis and cellulitis on my shin.
I’m missed you crazy lot, probably missed birthdays and celebrations too, sorry. There’s far too much fir me to read back on but I might just have a stroll back a few pages when I finish my coffee.
xx
Nice to have you back AJ Don't do to much reading you will be like me jealous of that wine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Malc from Eon - I am trying to give my first metre readings this morning. I tried twitter and got no response. I tried ringing and I got put on hold. After a bit of a wait I got to the chat page and the chap told me that your website is having issues today.
This explains why I could not get to my online account. I am registered but it was refusing to accept my details. I tried to change my password and that didn't work either and I went round in circles and got nowhere.
The chap on chat took my readings and said he would put them onto the account tomorrow when hopefully everything will be working again so I've got to rely on him doing this.
When we first switched to Scottish Power the night and day readings were switched around and it took several phone calls before I found someone who understood the problem and got it all sorted out so that is what I am worried will happen again this time.
My other worry is that my old Scottish Power account was about £30 in credit but what happens if the latest readings put it into debit - can I still switch with a debit reading?
Might give Scottish Power a ring later to see if they will take a payment over the phone, as a just incase
Morning mhoc and I'm sorry you've been struggling to talk to us. We've had several system issues in the last few days and these have caused backlogs.
Have you managed to log in now? Are your meter readings on the account? What stage is the switch at? Sorry for all the questions. Need to understand where the switch is at.
Changes of supplier usually go through in about two and half weeks. As part of these transfers, various pieces of information pass between the two suppliers and certain industry third parties like the energy distributors, meter readers/operators and the national databases. Don't worry, this won't affect the date we start supplying. This will be as advised. It's just that it takes a bit longer before the account is fully up and running. Once all the information's through, everything will be backdated (billing/tariff) to the supply start date.
Also, during and immediately after the switch, part of the online account will be locked down. This means you won't be able to enter meter readings until all is up and running. The Live Chatter you dealt with, though, will have been able to sort this.
We'll send the meter readings we use to open your account to the old supplier. They'll use the same readings to close their account and issue a final bill. This stops the same energy from being charged twice. The readings go through an independent third party (Data Collector) who checks they're in line with past readings held for the property. Sometimes, the Data Collector will make a change and both suppliers need to use the same amended readings to open/close their accounts.
I can't speak for other suppliers but, from our point of view, if the final readings were to put an account in debit, this wouldn't affect the switch.
Sorry again for all the questions mhoc and for rambling on. Hope it's of use. Let me know if I can help any further as happy to do so.

No, sadly I've not got onto the account. I did start a direct message conversation via twitter but it takes eon helpline about 12 hours to reply to messages so it tends to get very disjointed.
Now I am taking a zen approach and just letting the switch go through and hoping it will all be smooth.
If it does go smoothly then great, peace and happiness.
If not, well ructions will ensue - I am like a dog with a bone when things go to potMorning mhoc and I'm sorry you've been struggling to talk to us. We've had several system issues in the last few days and these have caused backlogs.

Just a quick thank you to all who advised about my son and the EON + and the housing association saga (even though hes not with the HA and is buying his property)
He had several emails going back and forth and has accepted a 75% refund which he was happy with.
He said if it hadn't been for the support from my elite family and the advise given he would not have had the confidence to question the dilemma and would have accepted the payment that had been taken form his account.
So thank you Malc + others for your help
Morning HILLBERN and thanks for letting me know. Happy to help and pleased this has been sorted.
Sorry for the late reply. I've been away from the office for a few days.
