Sorry, I forgot to put grahams after the cinnamon, it's the cereal he wants. Strange what people miss from home. But I will check that they are OK to take, thank you. I will definitely be going through 'things to declare' after watching Border Control!:rotfl:

Oooh what part of Oz you going to. My DD lives near Sydney. Miss her more and more each day. :o

Question. Probably a stupid one but here goes
When taking games to sell to CEX, is it better to remove the cellophane wrapping. As I guess most people taking games to sell there are taking 2nd hand ones, so taking a new one will look weird. I bought one in Sainz with the double up and plan to take it to the local CEX place today.
    tia :)

CeX won't accept titles in cellophane, in my experience. Not sure why - maybe because they can't check the contents without taking it off, maybe because it's more likely to be stolen? They also refused to serve me even when I took it off at the counter and asked me to come back the next day.

Best to go in without the cellophane on from the start. Think about it - their prices are fixed and don't mention that titles need to be brand new. You could always call ahead and ask to be sure.

  • Good morning all, another grey one here but fairly mild. Just need a bit of sunshine to warm the house up a bit, not quite cool enough to put the heating on.

No def wont be doing a home repair, I never realised how much technology was under the screen - I am even more determined now to look after my ipad so it never needs repairing.
very nervous now about getting Errant sons fixed

Why don't you take errant sons ipad to Apple store and see how much it would cost and how long it would take ?

I too was going to suggest this, certainly can't hurt to try an Apple store? And at least it should be done right, and you have recourse if it is not.

And TM, behave yourself! I bet you long for a day when nothing unusual happens  It's scary though when something like that happens. I recall I came off my bike on what is usually a very busy road but there was no-one coming, VERY lucky. Well, I say I came off, there was some fencing wire sticking out into the road that caught around my front wheel, before I knew it I was on the floor, I was amazed that no-one was coming but moved pretty quick to get out of the way. As you say, the difference a micro-second can make is amazing! And I was lucky on another count too, I came off opposite a trading estate and there was someone outside I could shout to to bring some wire cutters, I had to hold onto my bike because it would not have stayed on the bank!

I'd still check though as they are very strict about foodstuff.

Oh TM, so pleased you are OK, what a way to go that would have been.........
    No sign of M&S 20% for me:mad:
  • Finding it very difficult to pack my suitcase for Australia and not put winter clothing in! Ds1 insists I don't need any but I can't imagine not needing cold weather clothing despite the fact that I lived in SA for 14 years and know how hot it is. Four boxes of cinnamon are in though:rotfl:

Make sure it is hermetically sealed and be sure to declare it as it is a foodstuff.

    And yes...I’m perfectly fine

Surely it would be worth more in the wrapper? Michaels might be around to advise soon:)

I took in 4 all in cellophane with receipts. They like receipts as it shows you haven't just nicked them. If they are in cellophane they are obviously brand new so they can not claim that anything other than grade a and give you the full value (they pay less for used condition). When you are there they will ask you to open them as they put the disks into wallets and I guess to check the disks are actually there.

They will ask to see id and sometimes they do not have enough float to buy stuff which is annoying.
    I think....
