Also in M (as everything I now mention incessantly will be:rotfl:) I noticed they have some products, that appear to have been specially brought in, such as Comfort Fabric Conditioner 5L at £5. That's bog standard alright offer of £3 per 3L, so it would make the list (more so if a comparison were available from A) except that... I am put off a bit, ironically by taking the opposite meaning to what I presume they intend of their point of sale promotional displays (or, in my case, the stores' point of lack of sale:rotfl:). The displays say "...why wait until Black Friday?"
Indeed - why not wait even more, in other words, why not wait until after Black Friday?:rotfl::rotfl:
It seems to me that, if anything like what happened last year with much or maybe all of the items that had been brought in for Black Friday, it is best, once again, to do the exact opposite of what the promotional material may be hoping for - and, rather than buying now, let alone possibly the worst possible option of buying on Black Friday itself:eek:, it is far best to wait until after the whole thing is over. Last year, several of the apparently specially-brought-in Black Friday items went onto (obviously cheaper) RTC prices afterwards. I am therefore saying avoid buying any of the items before on Black Friday - treat it as a season like any other and, once again, be unseasonal:money:. All of this stuff, I reckon, will be cheaper after Black Friday is out of the way and therefore "why wait until Black Friday", indeed, why not wait until after Black Friday? That's what I would do: I can foresee cheaper RTC prices to those that are willing to wait and, in my view, it is a mug's game for those who do not wait. I'll counter their advertising therefore by deliberately choosing to wait even more. There is no desperate need for fabric conditioner or any other items which do not expire and can safely be bought afterwards. Everyone should already have well enough fabric conditioner from previous real cheap RTCs or glitches - if people don't, then they are obviously not shopping right as it would now allow them to wait for a better price (from our POV) on these items. I am also not buying, or comparing, any selection boxes against £1 prices:rotfl: - those will, of course, be 50p or cheaper after Christmas. In my view, with much embarrassment to people that are now buying them and my ill-timed mentioning of this at this very inopportune moment, they seem to me to be a way of giving very little product in return even for an expensive £1 price:rotfl::embarrassment:. The same of course with the Advent Calendars, although, to be fair, they are not much use after the dates are gone (and it's not really that viable to carry over to next Christmas, although I suppose it could as chocolate should last for at least a year beyond its date).
I think I will be interested in the selection boxes at any time of year except the run-up to Christmas, and the same with the tubes on currently expensive() mbuy pricing in some places - they will all be cheaper, again, afterwards. I am currently celebrating Hallowe'en though and still much interested in Hallowe'en items at this time although I think I was on a hiding to nothing trying to find the Toffee or Chocolate Apples, to see if they are still 20p, in any M yesterday:rotfl:. Obviously I did not find them, no surprise there, and really was just wasting my time although I was just 'doing things properly' as having them outstanding now and trying to see if they were still anywhere. I have an extra item from yesterday (yesterday that will get mentioned numerous times from now on in:rotfl:) - M Spooky Eye Mask at 50p RTC - anything else I saw I either already have or didn't seem worth even the RTC prices showing - I suspect that, like me, people won't have any apparent stock of this now - but they may have the product on a clearance shelf where there isn't any specific SEL for it and more may be found somewhere in a store and brought out by the store later - I was still finding Hallowe'en items well into the New Year this year and even in May as one here and there, that no-one will buy, still remains on a shelf that I find at that time (or any random time every few weeks in a single store of my changing set as it was back then).
I might start getting interested in Christmas items on about 26th or 27th December:rotfl:.0 -

A v M
1x Mars & Friends Medium Selection Box (181g) £2.00 £2.00
1x M&M's & Friends Selection Box (184g) £2.00 £2.00
Of course I do!:D After bubbs' post, posted just before mine, it was obvious that the system, at least at the time of your shop too, is still on Monday:doh:.
I would say - like my list. Except that I'm not even on Monday yet:eek:. I will move over to Wednesday, gradually again as I keep updating, and I'm glad the APG has a lag of time that will be behind me on the few updated items and then probably run ahead of me at some point as it takes me ages then to catch up fully again. One item I did notice - though I don't know whether this was already changed on Monday and therefore might already have ended - was the SP Sweet Pickle jar (equivalent) - was comparing (correctly I think) vs 24p for M a few weeks ago - has gone up to 34p in M:( so will probably soon (if not already) be a price match 34pvs 34p against M with even more hopeless 3 or 4p (they literally can't give 3.4p) back if shops are bought correctly. For me, the jam jars on 70p RTC are just about still in evidence - the honey has lasted even longer and is still around in my store.
I am having my doubts about the Guinness Dublin Porter though - I think now is about the time that the M price probably falls off the APG. Other RTCs in that area I come across - some, sometimes weeks later they appear in a new store - but I didn't find the Dublin Porter yesterday. Nonetheless, I have it last seen at Wrexham:D so it could have lasted a bit longer at that suspected price collection place and might now be into "up to 7 days no stock" still comparing - or they might still have some in the warehouse (if there is any such thing these days) and bring some more back out - no use if they do that on Thursdays though and then the weekend shoppers take the shelf, even with price label, back to OOS by price collection visit days. It could be as random as this - or the collectors might have it somewhere else. I didn't visit Wrexham yesterday so I don't know what was or wasn't there.
Similarly, I know that M still have (as at yesterday) stock of McVitie's Nibbles Dark Chocolate pouches available for sale, as they were at one of my stores although they were not in their right place, instead they were elsewhere in my store, as if they could have been dropped down by a shopper or by a member of staff and had no SEL. I do not know whether they are still 50p RTC but I assume they are - I don't know whether they would still have lasted at their main aisle in-stock location that I found them at in Wrexham - they might now be OOS and have vanished with the stock on the rest of the shelf now being shifted to where they were and leaving no trace. As for the Milk Chocolate Nibbles that got a 50p RTC SEL there - maybe the important location? - but I kept seeing £1.57 everywhere else (and they remained with £1.57 online too) - they are now apparently was £1.57 now £1 offer price:(. That's what I have from elsewhere now and no RTC SEL price at all. The 50p RTC before may have been store-specific, even though there was nothing to say that was the case, or the product could have been put onto 50p RTC but now gone up to £1 offer price, with £1.57 being used as the established price - or they can have different prices in different stores and the £1.57 be the immediate previous price in those stores. As far as I can tell (which I probably can't) they are now £1 from SELs - although, again, if the collectors had no trace everywhere else and happen to have still 50p RTC showing from Wrexham, whether or not the product actually is 50p RTC or whether it is now £1, the APG could, in that perhaps unlikely scenario, have got 50p as the price on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the 175g Walker's crisps - of which I saw one, Salt & Vinegar, not compare earlier - possibly might pick the product(s) up this time as I have now, indeed, lost them from my original store but picked them up from other stores now. Their location, in terms of which stores, has changed for me, so they could have moved into a collection store. However, their location within the stores I now have (like the previous one) makes me think they probably won't work.
The APG earlier also did not have an M price for 2x100g Toffee Sundaes. It's also now my turn to go no trace as I have failed to have a store that had the "new" 2x100g sundaes in it - though I have no doubt they are still available at some Ms at £1. Some of my stores don't even have the 'old' version of sundaes in them, let alone having new ones. I can't quite remember where I got the "new" products from before, but, obviously, I have gone to different Ms now and shown that, indeed, it's possible to have a set of stores like the APG and to fail to have a store into which these products have yet made it.
I don't know whether the 8 pack Chicken Drumsticks at £1.50/Kg. are still available - M seem to have a 7 pack now at much more expensive price:(. Similarly, the Footlong Sausages and huge hot dogs seem to have been produced around the time they were getting media coverage about some competition from M vs Aldi, but they are no trace in all of the stores I have visited this time. I bet they are at the Toffee Sundaes place:rotfl:. Anyway, I get what I get and that is it:D. I don't know whether I have some pets items that are showing as Savvy Buys on msm and therefore whether I will be able to work out whether the M price is an RTC or not and whether these are for Tvs M or excluded from there:rotfl: - I shall find out later. I have lots of other items though, from various places and the priority was to look for some of those items, that were already known to exist, rather than for pets items that I may (or may not) have had in my first store and where there was no clue that I should be looking for those items later.
I also continue to have my problem over the 300ml Alberto Balsams that are for the 3 for 2. This is just my problem though and not the APG's. The problem is that this size is part of a range that isn't in some Ms (though I suspect that's true of lots of items) - I therefore have them in two of my stores but one shows full price and the other has no SELs. I am therefore having to go by online for the offer still being on at £1 - although I would have liked to have seen the £1 prices this time as it is some time since I've seen that. I will go by online. One of the other stores I did have is one that does not have this size of Balsams, yet it has lots of more obscure shampoos/conditioners that fewer other places for me have. Nonetheless, I think it possibly depends on the way you are looking at it - really, there is nothing that is "obscure" as people in this store could be buying what for me is the obscure stuff all the time and therefore, for them, it's not obscure but the regular ones their store has. Had I started out from their store, I could well have found these "obscure" Alberto Balsams in my store that they don't have in theirs. The APG clearly has a store, at least, from which it picks them up, that has this size in its range - except that it has one, it seems, that does display the £1 prices on them whereas I am usually at ones that don't (the £1 SEL place for me, that I do have from time to time, is a little harder to get to and therefore wasn't visited this time). Online is saying £1 into January on Alberto Balsam 300ml, so I will take it at that (and may occasionally, at some time, see a £1 SEL sometimes, you never know what luck I may have:D!).0 -

Can you see any of these on Mysupermarket or Asda dotcom ?
I had a quick look before going out this morning and couldn't see any of the sets showing on Mysupermarket for Asda.
Maybe a little early to try ... Savvybuyer what do you think please ?
.
My thought is a somewhat forelorn "no":(. I don't think anything will get picked up vs M mbuy but for me the issue isn't that but rather their absence from a.com puts the idea to bed before it even gets up. If they are not on a.com, they will not work. Are they? I don't know, I haven't checked.
Also, even if they are now on there (note: I haven't checked) it's possible they may not compare against M if they weren't in the system on the day the price collection was done. We saw earlier, months ago, on a less significant item, SP Milk Chocolate Bar, that that disappeared from a.com at one stage. It did not compare against M for some time even after it reappeared on a.com - it's absence period seemingly making it lose the M price. Fortunately that has long since come back. I don't hold out chances of gift sets working, having had the Nivea Luscious Sets return but then suddenly lose the M price almost as quickly as it came. I would not be trying gift sets against M at all (other than the Brut Deo set at the time when I said it might work - that no-one tried then, as far as I am aware, and I've already pulled the rug from under someone since then as I now think it probably won't, after the Luscious set stopped. Nonetheless, maybe that would be picked up now? Assuming it's still on a.com:rotfl:).
I won't be trying gift sets vs M now, and this is quite apart from my not buying any gift sets at all this side of Christmas:rotfl:. Note that I will still put sets and their correct (believed to be correct) M prices onto my list, but this does not mean that they will work. I just put what should be - I may note it once they have failed but, if they are on my list, it is just that that is available at M, it doesn't give a view that they will (or won't) work vs M. I am putting gift sets onto the list (or, rather, they are already are on the list and I see no change to that) as what I have (previously) found in M - to be honest, it wasn't checking in M in detail this time as it does not appear to have changed in there - as far as I know, they have the same as before and the pricing of 2 for £8, where that was on, has not changed. What is on the list is remaining there - but it probably won't work on the APG.0 -
