virgin trains bonus has just been added again.

those of you that have had it added via fb. check your nectar account again.

    manage account
    transaction history.
select virgin where it says partner.
mine has been added from the original booking date.

fb did say to me on that if they were to be added again, just to have them

I'd have thought that, if people ever did check their receipt, it could be pretty galling if they have bought in a situation like this, where they buy an A mbuy, and find that, even after the mbuy, the items were cheaper elsewhere.

11 items (9 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda sainsbury's
    1x ASDA Sliced Carrots (300g) £0.45 N/A
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets (400g) £1.00 N/A
    1x Muller Light Fat Free Banana & Custard Yogurt (175g) £0.50 £0.35
    1x Hartley's 10 Cal Mango & Passion Fruit Jelly (175g) £0.75 £0.75
    1x Muller Light Fat Free Raspberry & Cranberry Yogurt (175g) £0.50 £0.35
2x Muller Light Raspberry Doughnut Flavour Yogurt (165g) £1.00 £0.70
    1x Hartley's 10 Cal Strawberry Jelly (175g) £0.75 £0.75
    1x Hartley's 10 Cal Raspberry Jelly (175g) £0.75 £0.75
2x Muller Light Fat Free Toffee Yogurt (1x175g) £1.00 £0.70
1x Muller Light Fat Free Cherry Yogurt (175g) £0.50 £0.35
1x Robinsons No Added Sugar Fruit & Barley Strawberry & Kiwi Squash (1lt) £1.00 N/A
1x Muller Light Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt (175g) £0.50 £0.35
    1x ASDA Melon Chunks (160g) £0.80 N/A
    1x ASDA Mango, Melon & Strawberry (240g) £1.75 N/A
Comparison total (compared products only) £6.25 £5.05
    +£1.20 cheaper

They went to the unnecessary lengths of buying eight Mullers, only to end up still overpaying on each one. I had someone buy the Quaker Oats pots the other day and they bought the mbuy, only for me to find that they got 80p on three of them versus 50p and the other two N/A. Had they been in the store where they were straight 50p, they would have to have chosen different flavours and might have bought less. they could be very disappointed to enter their receipt into the checker and find they needn't have bought so many and that they ended up paying 30p more on each of the two that didn't compare. I think that's the point though - even if they were to realise this (which they probably wouldn't), they don't enter their receipt in the first place. So that's alright then and it doesn't matter.

Having seen eight Muller Lights on the receipt (or several Muller Lights and a few others that could also be), I thought this would be potentially good vs S as I know the 8 for £4 mbuy is an expensive mbuy and S is cheaper. The key was what other items were bought - fortunately they added three Hartley's 10 Cals and added money for each one:cool:.

The above comparison reveals that Raspberry Doughnut - I don't remember seeing that one before - compares against S and that it is straight onto the system so it isn't an invisible trigger.
