Just been watching Stephen Frys video via twitter - our OHs need to see it it. All he did was to go and see his doc for a flu jab and he got ambushed as he hadn't had his annual checks done ...
I made OH watch it and he has an annual health check booked now
If you don't mind me asking - what annual check ? My DH is 88 next birthday and has never been offered a health check !ELITE 5:2

Are you sure - he has not been disappearing off on mysterious missions not to worry you?
Depending on your health authority area I think we are all offered health checks at 40 (or 50?) and he should def have a PSA check annually.

(but having said that my Dad had prostrate cancer as do many older chaps but it was just something you lived with and he just had fasting blood tests, the levels never got any worse and he never had symptoms)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Don't let my DD2 hear - she was desperate for one for her birthday and xmas but we decided 120 quid for something she would probably use for 10 prints and then get bored of was poor value. Did you get the win notification in the app or via email?Afternoon,
Just coming on to say thank you to you all especially the original poster of the AP . I won a HP sprocket photo printer in the weekly prize draw. My dd is over the moon.
Thanks again.
Locally you get one at 40 but I was reading online that after that you were supposed to have another one every 5 years? Are you sure - he has not been disappearing off on mysterious missions not to worry you?

I'm sure he hasn't had one - he lives in a little world of his own regarding health matters and only contacts a doctor if I do it for him. He does have a regular twice yearly PSA check though as the raised level was picked up well over 10 years ago when we both had private health checks done when we retired (happened to find a half price deal through M&S - money saving even then). He was subsequently diagnosed with prostate cancer and they just keep an eye on the levels - thats all done via the Oncology dept at the hospital (I'm not even sure that the local surgery are aware). I haven't ever been offered one either - and I am 74.ELITE 5:2
