Fuzzy what about boiling water with Milton in, I use milton for alot of things

Thanks I’ll try that. I was wondering about Cilit bang, isn’t that supposed to dissolve grime?

Or maybe I should just get a new one..

Random question- Does anyone know of a way to dissolve gunge from in between a tin opener?

It’s becoming really stiff to open and I can’t see a way to take it apart to clean.
    Vinegar? Coke? H2SO4?

    Have you ever washed it?

How about something like soaking in washing powder and water?

So long as you have a good way of getting it dry of course.

I prefer the simple can openers too, I have a couple of butterfly ones I have had for yonks, never had to wash them yet though thank god!

Yeah tried washing scrubbing the areas, but it’s still stiff.

It could just be that it needs lubricating?

It’s a Prestige one I got many years ago.

If I could get it open I could clean inside, or find something to soak it in.

H2SO4 would definitely solve your problem, you would have no gunge left in your can opener, and if it was too strong you would have no can opener left :rotfl::rotfl:

    It's sulfuric acid lol
