Newsflash yay to people power!!
Tosco are delaying till 10th june the boost reward reductions
Update 12.15pm Wed 17 Jan: Supermarket giant Tesco is to postpone major changes to its Clubcard Rewards scheme after a furious backlash from customers and a call from MSE founder Martin Lewis for it to rethink the changes.
Tesco has told us today that it is implementing a period of grace, and that Rewards tokens that were moving from 4x to 3x the value will be moved back to 4x for the time being.
Full details on the grace period will follow but Tesco has told us it's "likely" to last until 10 June, after which 4x vouchers will drop in value.
Tesco has said anyone who has lost out as a result of the changes should contact its customer service centre.
I smell a rat.
Is this Mr Ts publicity departments having a brainwave about a new way of getting the flagging clubcard into the national press and media just before the end of the quarter. Everyone who has forgotten about clubcard suddenly remembers they have vouchers to spend (probably instore) or they are just a few hundred points short of another voucher so they will do the big shops this week instead of stalling until payday .. Either way Mr T gets a boost to its January sales figures at a time when a lot of people are struggling with a 5 week month ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Marks IN Stafford today still had dozens of sale rails and a few items I recognized were the same price as at the weekend eg the long red coats still £45 - plus sale rails in the mens, childrens and lingerie departments - with this much stock and if its similar around the country it will possibly be next week before prices drop again ...
But if you have time and patience if you go through the rails you might find a few useful items that are worth getting now - I got white t shirts and a black long sleeved t today plus a red dress for £6 odd
(all yellow labels with odd numbers at the end are non refundable so be sure about things when you buy them)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
