brown onion x 2 ( 1 weighed in veg section and 1 weighed on payment scale)
i think red onion would be the same.
2 bananas
2 carrots
so thats a possible 8 fillers. no real need to keep buying sweets.
i know thats not what you asked. but fillers like this are used.
So glad I asked this question as I didn't know you could do this as a double filler.
Thanks!!0 -
For the bakers, Sainsbury's sweet mince is 30p a jar, taste diff is 54p & Robertsons is 50p. Good dates on the Robertsons, Nov 18 on the own brand. Still loads of biccies. Got my first today to hide in the loft for Easter gifts.
So for next Xmas I have my crackers (did not use them this year as MIL took ill and left straight after lunch), cards, wrapping paper, sweet mince & Xmas pudding. Not a bad start.
Asda had reduced Xmas plants. £10 amaryllis in a pot was £1. Hyacinths in jars 50p & normal amaryllis was 75p. Crocus in jars were 50p as well. Bought a few for family as coming for tea today after pantomime.0 -

You can vaccum seal without using a machine. One way is using a straw at corner of sealible bag and suck the air out. Other way is push air out of bag with food in then dip into bowl or pot o water.Lots of youtube vids on it.0

Just been in local sada, lady having a few issues with PAGS, think it may have been Saversue, hope she got out unscathed.:rotfl:
Hi Laqno, thought nit was you, but didn't want to say anything in the situation I was in.
Had a bit of a meltdown this week and black dog has pounced, thought a glitch shop might help.
No, didn't get away unscathed, just coming on to report.
Taken to CS, some chief supervisor, who I have never seen before, was on the phone to Asda House.
They said must have used coupon before
I said it would say that on the till, but took no notice.
Told me I am in quite often and recognised me
Explained that I was a personal shopper for a lot of old ladies who are housebound. Which is true to a point.
Asda House told them my receipt showed I had used apg's yesterday and one was also rejected  which it was for £3.50, and this hadn't happened with anyone else today - implying I was doing something dodgy.
Wanted to know what I had done with that apg, showed her it my bag.
Then said she had been told by Asda House it was up to the store if they took the apg from yesterdays beans shop, and she was going to accept it this one time
So someone in Asda House has now seen my receipt for Heinz and I am worried that might be the end of it for everyone:(:(
don't know if todays Heinz shop worked
This has not helped my mood and I am going to have to use another store for any glitches for a while, or just not bother0 -

Been thinking of getting a food vacuum machine for a while now, especially with all the whoopsies around at the moment. The polystyrene type packaging which meat comes on takes up so much room in the freezer. I usually just open it up and rewrap it but wondering about the whole vacuum thing. I know it’s been discussed a few times on here before but things may have improved now, prices etc.
What do people generally think of them? Are the bags expensive to replace each time? Don’t really want to add a lot to the price of the food so was wondering roughly how much it would cost to wrap say a couple of chicken breasts. Also I’ve read it helps to keep the food fresher longer is that because it stops freezer burn? Grateful for anyone’s comments
Hampy.....I have a foodsaver which vacuum packs everything I need to freeze.....Not the cheapest to buy but I would not be without it now....You can get them second hand on eBay...Hope this helps...[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

Just to say todays Heinz shop worked, didn't get any beans, as don't like them, with or without sausages. so just be careful now Asda House has seen my receipt from yesterdays shop and know what the apg was, in-case the glitch stops.
Think I need to hand in my Elite Badge.0
