Well the elves surpassed themselves this year.

Every year the elf on the shelf appears at DD's. There are 2 elves, in fact, and they are meant to keep an eye on the kids so they can report to Santa whether they've been naughty or nice. But DD's elves do not do that, they have never ever told tales on the children.

Instead, DD's elves are the naughtiest elves anyone could ever imagine. Each and every day throughout December they get up to a trick and then they sit waiting for their naughty antics to be discovered.

This has included putting faces on the fruit on the fruit bowl, spilling cereal over the breakfast table during the night, trailing loo roll from the holder all around the landing and down the stairs, making the tree fall down, etc etc.

But this year, they saved the very naughtiest thing till last.

On Christmas Eve night, in the very early hours after Santa had been, the elves covered the entire doorway into the living room with Christmas wrapping paper. It looked very pretty but it also meant the doorway had to be unwrapped so that people could get in to get at their presents.

    Naughty, naughty elves.

It occurred to me that it's a good thing mhoc wasn't there, else everyone would have had to get scissors and cut that giant-sized wrap into tidy squares to be saved for next year. :D

Seren That's a great way for elves to behave Love it

    Good morning

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas x

We have snow this morning but not as much as a few weeks ago :)

Wednesday windfall is £30 argos voucher on a £60 Sainsbury’s spend but it says no alcohol or clothes and I actually can’t think of anything to buy as the cupboards are full ... how lucky are we to be in that position and it’s all down to being here so big thanks xx

Cant find this in my emails or if I go to the website. Have you got a link please. Or maybe it wont show for those that had a similar offer a few weeks ago

    Morning all

Well today is the day the Christmas guests arrive - Eldest child and her beloved OH arrive early this afternoon and then Eldest son and his GF early evening depending on how slow it takes them to get through Manchester airport ...

All organised and ready apart from doing a rhubarb crumble - might have to get some custard later.

I have dropped the Big Question and now awaiting replies - the big question being when would they like to do the present opening - tonight after dinner, in the morning after breakfast or after Christmas lunch tomorrow and all 4 have a vote :D
