Hiya, I need some advise and hopefully some expert direction! We have recently had a big clear out in order to redecorate and I found under the bed in the guest room a large vintage collection of Vinyl records that my uncle left me several years ago and I'd forgotten all about! Looking through the collection yesterday I discovered such records as an old Elvis 10" 78 single in it's paper sleeve by "His Master's Voice" records and many other artists of similar age, all in either paper or card sleeves some with pictures others just plain. To be honest, I really don't know what I have here and could do with some help in finding out if any of the collection has any value. I've tried searching on line for similar items but I can't seem to find any that match mine.

Try looking for a copy of the Rare Record Price Guide in your local library (the website version has a 24 hour free trail at the moment http://www.rarerecordpriceguide.com/overview) and Record Collector has a section for sending in details of your records for valuation & regularly prints price guides & ebay/auction sale prices for various artists each month.

Car boot sales are always a good bet, look for some of the local every-weekend ones this way you can sell multiple things without so much effort and when you get bored you can sell things off in bulk or together just to rid yourself of them

    Hello there,
Don't know if you still have your Elvis HMV label vinyl that you mentioned. Just wanted to tell you that one of my customers (I volunteer in a charity shop) is a music seller at the local market and told us yesterday that these kind of releases under that label are very sough after. Please do your research around local sellers and get the most for your money. Hope it's not too late.
