Hi,
Just after some help! My wife currently ha the mortgage on our house in her name and in December 2018 we are up for renewal and wanting to add me onto the mortgage. By this time my credit score will have improved dramatically but I have a ccj on my file which will be paid off by the end of this month will this affect our renewal rates or anything like that?
Thanks

Your credit score is irrelevant, but the CCJ will be very relevant, unfortunately.
Are you already financially associated with your wife through any other products? What are the details of the CCJ?0 -
The ccj was for 493 pounds which I was unaware I was being taken to court for! It was for a payday loan unpaid from my days as a gambling addict which are now over! It will be settled on the 24/11! The judgement was made in April! Any advice is much appreciated0

It is not just the CCJ but also the use of Pay day loans that will be an issue.
You should be fine if the CCJ is satisfied in the main, but it is one for a broker just to ensure you go to a lender most likely to accept you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I don't use payday loans anymore and haven't for over a year! It will be around 2 years by the time I renew the mortgage just wanted to know the effects the ccj would have on that?0
