using fabric dye to get rid of bleach marks

I'm wondering if anyone has experience of fixing fabric that has been accidentally bleached?

I've managed to get bleach marks on one of my favourite skirts :( and am now wondering if it would be possible to dye the skirt a darker colour so that the bleach marks don't show. Would the pale bleached patches still look lighter than the rest of the skirt if I were to dye it with some Dylon?

Would it be better if I were to soak the whole skirt in a weak bleach solution first before dying it?

Thanks, I'm inclined to think it may not be worth the hassle and cost.

I think there's every chance that you'd still see the marks.

I wouldn't bother throwing good money after bad.

Any chance you could embroider/applique something over the mark is it's not too large? I did something similar with a favourite dress that had a tiny hole near the hem (sewed some tiny black flowers in a pattern).

I've also tried this and found it didn't work unfortunately. :(
