paragon ppi

I took out a loan for £15k in 2000 with paragon, unsecured for 10 years. We opted for the ppi, but didn't know it only covered us for 5 years, we were told it would cover us for the term of the loan. We only found out it covered us for 5 years when we tried to claim last year when my husband broke his arm and couldn't work and were told it expired.
The loan was settled in May '07, 3 years early and I bartered with the setlement figure, They wanted over £14k and I got them down to just over £12k.
The PPI was approx £3600 added on at the start of the agreement and the loan was arranged through loans.co.uk
I feel a little out of my depth here and juct wondering
1) Do I have a claim?
2)Has anyone else claimed with paragon?
3) Do I claim Paragon or Loans.co.uk?
Thanks in advance

Hi
sorry to hear the agro you are enduring.
Good news. The chances are that you will be able to claim back most if not all the money you spent on payment protection. You should make the claim against Paragon unless Loans.co.uk actually arranged separate cover for you. Usually it is the lender that arranges ppi and it is they that you go after.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0
