Missing info from my credit report

After burying my head about my debts for a while I am now trying to be proactive. Realistically I am looking at a DRO or bankruptcy. When I checked my Noddle report last month, one of my significant debts was slightly less than I thought. This brought my total debt to just under 20k (literally by a few hundred pounds). Excellent I thought, i could start motions to apply for a DRO.

I accessed my credit reports from Clears core and MSE money club yesterday and found that the noddle report was the most comprehensive. However, the significant outstanding debt (and another with the same lender (HSBC)) were missing. I logged back into Noddle and they are also missing from that report now as well. Why would this be?

Cheers

Thanks for your reply, the debts are not showing on any of the three reports and it was definitely showing on the Noddle report previously.

    Is the account defaulted?

It may be in the process of being sold and thus will possibly re-appear as settled soon, with a new owner to register the debt as theirs in due course.

It's rare for a debt to just disappear unless if it has defaulted, and you hit the 6 year date for when the account drops off your files.

It is defaulted so that could be what's happening. I'll have to wait for it to appear again and pray that it doesn't push me over the 20k limit or I'm back to square one!

    How old is the debt?

If you haven't paid anything to it or acknowledged the debt for 6 years or more it'll be statute barred and not needing to be included in the DRO.
