JSA Temp Job Will Not Pay Until Near end of Contract

Hi
I'm a Mum who has a 26 year old still at home who was on JSA until this week. He's just started a 16 hour temporary Christmas job for 6 weeks with the possibility of permanent position.
He found out today after asking to confirm his payment details that he had missed the last pay cycle and he will not recive his pay until the 8th of December, 2 days before his contract ends.
This will leave him with 3 - 4 weeks with out any money coming in after his last JSA payment runs out. Is there any other help available for him?
As much as I would like to help we are not in a position to subsidise his living costs as his Dad was made redundant at the end of September and I'm a carer, needless to say money is tight for our family.
I really hope someone can advise us on this.

Many of us have been in this situation, most (many or some?) of us are lucky enough to have a bank of mom & dad, but given your current circumstances, money is tight.
As stated, he can ask for a sub, payroll can make one off payments if they have to otherwise he will have to manage somehow. Nothing illegal is happening here.,0
