Completion before current fixed term ends, help, can I delay this to avoid exit fees

I am currently remortgaging and moving from West Brom to HSBC. Desperately seeking advice...my current fixed deal ends on 30th November 2017. There are early exit charges before this date. I have just received a text from the solicitor (not one we chose, but assigned through HSBC and totally incompetent), saying they have put in the request to withdraw funds to complete on 7th November, despite me ticking the box to say to complete after any fixed terms have ended.
Panicking slightly as I imagine this will mean a huge fee for ending my current contract before the end date! Where do I stand with this? Am I able to instruct the solicitor to return/cancel the funds and delay until 30th November? Are they able to charge me for doing this?
Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm very worried as after having looked up this solicitors so many people have had major issues, so I'd like to know where I stand before dealing with them.

You tell them what to do, not the other way round.
They can withdraw the COT (Certificate of Title) which requests the funds on a certain date.I am a mortgage broker. Thank you! I'll get on to them tomorrow (providing they pick up, I was on hold for 45 minutes last time!)0
