Hello All. A month or so I received two letters from Motor Mile Finance regarding a debt I was unaware of - I sent a letter requesting proof as I had no idea what it related to. They have replied with a print out of two credit agreements relating to a payday loan, of which I have no recollection. The pay day loan is dated May 2009.
My question is, should I continue to fight this with no knowledge of the debt, or reply stating that it is statute barred? I am concerned that my initial letter querying the debt may have un-statute barred it! I have at no point acknowledged responsibility for the debt.
Thank you for your help!

A letter saying you have no knowledge of a debt, cannot unbar it.
