Specsavers NHS Staff Discount

I asked in a Specsavers branch today whether they did any NHS staff discount. To my surprise they said they did, and took 25% off the whole bill which already included the 2 for 1 offer, and half price off the second pair's anti-reflective upgrade. She said they would also do 50% off a single pair.
I have never seen this published anywhere, and I'm aware Specsavers are all franchises. I suggest it's worth asking, and maybe in different branches if no luck initially, as they seem to do slightly different things. Another branch I asked didn't do the half price off the lense upgrade on the second pair.
