Aquashard gift vouchers

I have booked afternoon tea for 2 at the Shard and need to pay for it. To do so before arrival means buying a gift card from them. The price includes a "discretionary" 12.5% service charge. It isn't very discretionary as you cannot purchase the gift card without the 12.5% added. I am a bit of a tight wad when it comes to this sort of thing and I believe a) discretionary should be just that, b) 12.5% is too much and c) if I am going to tip, I will do so at the table.

Any ideas on if it is possible in any way to get around this charge on purchasing a gift card?

Thanks

Mark

P.S. I know i'm tight, so I don't need all the replies to be telling so, in a round about way ;)

I have had a response from Aquashard about their discretionary service charge.
I do apologise but the voucher has been fixed and designed.

I have however been given the option of receiving their BACS details to make a payment. Think that will be my option.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Or just reserve a table and pay on the day - surely that solves all issues?
