Sleep Ins for Care Agency

Options
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this??

My Husband worked an additional job where he solely did sleep ins around 3 times a week for about £32 per sleep in.
I've been told recently that he can reclaim minimum wage per hour for these shifts which would work out to be quite a bit of money.
He's sent a very basic request (via signed for post) requesting this money and quoting a few bits we found online but I can't find anything online from people who have tried to reclaim this.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • He has already made the request, see what his (former?) employers reply with.

Yeah former - Hasn't worked there for around 2 years as they were changing the way they paid sleeps ins - Which ties into this I suppose!!
Will update when he hears something!! MENCAP website stated employers MUST pay! We shall see!
  • I think it is too late for him to go to a tribunal, he would need to have claimed within 3 months of leaving the job. I don't know if there is another way to claim it.
