Hi Snowhite,
Kleeneze's definitely not a scam, that's for sure, it's a reputable company (although they are part of the family of companies that Farepak was part of, but that's another story). I really hope you are a success at it, and it sounds as though you will be because you have plenty of time. I simply found the costs of it too high and the interest in purchasing products too little, and ultimately I did make a loss. But nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say, so I hope you'll enjoy much greater success than I did!
Best wishes

Hi snowhite, glad you feel able to start moving forward again with work and debt-busting.
I can't see anything in your SOA about home contents and buildings insurance. You really need these. Read the insurance articles on the main site then look on the net for the best and most affordable policy for you. If you go through www.quidco.com you will get cashback too. It takes around 3 months to come through but every bit helps.
Are you on water rates or do you have a meter? I live alone and pay £11 a month as I have a meter.
Do you pay your council tax over 10 months? Ask your council if you can pay over 12 months - some do this, some don't.
Last but not least, do you have a spare room you could rent out to a lodger?

It's still early days in the life of the thread, but as no-one else has suggested it yet, and as you may be struggling to pay the next load of payments, you can get free debt advice from these people:Professional, free and impartial advice on debt problems can be obtained from several charitable and 'not for profit' organisations. They never make a penny from the advice they give, which means it will be given with only your best interests at heart. You can contact:
Your local CAB Office and ask to speak to a 'money advisor' *** The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 *** National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 *** Payplan - Tel: 0800 917 7823
They may suggest a DMP (Debt Management program) or be able to get the interest on your account frozen. Not sure if this is required and what the implications of this are to your credit rating, but thought it was worth mentioning as their advice is free. They may have advised carers going back into the workplace before and have better suggestions on what to do. I'd give one of them a call and see what they think - it just takes the price of a phone call and at the end of the day - you don't need to take their advice. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
