World’s Greatest Bridges Competition – Additional T&Cs

1)The prize comprises

• Return economy class flights for two to San Francisco, USA with a stopover in New York, USA from the prize provider’s choice of airport in London;
• Return transfers for two between the airport in New York and the hotel;
• Three (3) nights’ accommodation for two at Archer Hotel New York, based on the winner and their companion sharing an Archer King Empire View or a Double Double Empire View;
• Breakfast on one morning for two at Charlie Palmer Steak in New York (excludes alcoholic drinks);
• Two (2) cocktails at Spyglass on one evening;
• Landmarks cruise (approx. 1.5 hours) for two in New York with Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises;
• Return transfers for two between the airport in San Francisco and the hotel;
• Two (2) nights’ accommodation for two at Cavallo Point in Sausalito, based on the winner and their companion sharing a Historic Queen room;
• Travel insurance; and
• £500 spending money for the prize winner only.

2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of the date of their congratulations e-mail from Element and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
3) The prize must be taken and completed by 30th November 2018 and cannot be taken between 1st December 2017 and 4th January 2018, 1st July 2018 and 31st August 2018, over UK school holidays, during the UN General Assembly sessions in New York (dates vary) or UK/US Public Holidays (UK Public Holidays: 30th March 2018; 2nd April 2018; 7th & 28th May 2018) US Public Holidays: 10th November 2017; 23rd & 24th November 2017; 15th January 2018; 19th February 2018; 28th May 2018; 3rd September 2018; 8th October 2018; 12th November 2018; 22nd & 23rd November 2018). The prize and its components are subject to availability.
4) Flights may be indirect and the routing will be determined by the prize provider.
5) The stay must include a Saturday night at one of the hotels.
6) The prize winner and their companion must hold current and valid passports and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to the USA including but not limited to making a timely application for receipt of ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization under the Visa Waiver Program. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for themselves and their companion. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the trip.
7) The prize winner and their guests must depart and return to the same UK airport.
8) Travel insurance terms exclude pre-existing medical conditions and insurance is subject to standard policy excesses and an upper age limit of 69 years.
9) Where the prize winner is under 21 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over to check into the hotels. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotels for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companion adhere to the local laws in the USA. It is highly recommended that the prize winner and their companion obtain advice from a medical professional in advance of travelling and ensure that vaccinations are up to date.
10)The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK, additional meals and drinks which are not included in the prize, additional excursions, attractions, treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, visas and vaccinations where required and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
11) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability.
12) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize. The prize is non-transferrable.
13) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
14) A cheque for the £500 spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.
