My boss hasn't paid me my correct wages for about 3 weeks and refuses that she owes me any money. It's a ZERO HOURS job with NO written contract. Can I get help from somewhere?? Thanks. *UPDATE* I've recently spoken to ACAS who has given me some advice which I'm now acting on. Thanks for your comments everyone :)

So you’ve been working but not been paid? How many hours have you worked?

    Where do you disagree

    No. Of hours
    Rate for the hours.

    Don't forget holiday pay.

What is on your pay slip?

So why is she wrong? What do you think she owes you? And why?

There's not really a place to go who will get you money owed, but if money is owed we can tell you what steps you should take, bearing in mind that you probably won't be getting any further work from her. But the devil is in the detail - of which you have given us none!

Shel. Quite a lot since she started paying me through the bank (Since August). Currently she owes me £325.

Get more 4 less. We are disagreeing on the hours worked and the pay. No holiday pay and no payslips. Zero hours (As and when needed) and no written contract.

I would email your manager showing the calculations you have done to arrive at the conclusion that you are underpaid. Your manager will then reply either stating that the calculations are incorrect or will pay you the amount you are owed.

Perhaps you could show the calculations on here and then receive some feedback and even support first?
  • Hi Shel. She IS the manager / boss. It's only the local flower shop / florist. As I said previously, I've now passed the matter onto ACAS who has given me some advice. Thanks for your interest.

But they will not get the money back for you.

In this case you will need to go to small claims court.

Hi Comms 69. Apparently there's 4 stages to go through the last being the small claims court. At the moment we are at stage one. As she hasn't paid me yet, has ignored paperwork and hasn't contacted me about a settlement the next stage will be talks with a third party (Possibly someone from ACAS). May I suggest you go on the ACAS website for more info. As this is between me, my boss and ACAS now (And personal info is involved) I will not be replying to anymore messages and will probably close this post. Thanks for your interest.
