Getting Charghed NI Twice?

Hi, I am employed as a full-time employee (non-contractor). Having looked through my payslip, it seems like I had too much tax deducted.

My Net pay was: 4272 this month
According to listen to tax man website, total deductions is 1150 and my pay should be 3126.

My payslip says the following:

Deductions: Tax (Code 0T M1) 1150 GBP
NI (category A) 378 GBP

For a total deductions of 1529 instead of 1150.

It seems like I paid employer's national insurance? Anyone can explain?

On £4272 0T M1 income tax is £1150.46 and NI is £378.84. LTT calculator gives £1150.47 tax and £379.09 NI. You are obviously doing something wrong (like ticking the I pay no NI box)

Err, 3126 is less than 4272. You've been overpaid by over a thousand quid. Why are you complaining?:)

Seriously, I think it's a case of GIGO. Speak to the payroll dept. They'll explain it to you.
