Its 'usually' cheaper to get a reg direct from the dvla website if they have one you want.

I have recently been trying to buy a private plate from regtransfers. I paid over £700 on the 17th of may 2011 and I'm still waiting for them to sort out the relevant documents from the DVLA. This is due to the seller of the plate not having the log book for the plate they were selling?? Surely it is the responsibilty of regtransfers to insure this is in place before advertising the registration? This was intentionally bought for my other halfs birthday that's well gone now. I've got to laugh when I read all those testimonials on their website I guarantee mine wouldn't be published. My advice go straight to DVLA not this monkey cowboy office! Wouldnt like to be at their Christmas party pi** up & brewery spring to mind 

Be very careful if you are looking to buy from reg transfers.They are a bunch of crooks.They will tell you that they own the reg plate you want to buy then ask for full payment then use your money to buy it at half the price from the dvla.l have just found a reg plate which the dvla have for
£1800 and l typed it into reg transfers search box and up it came at £5000
They are greedy and not to be trusted
