Virgin east coast customer service

Hello,
Following a complaint last year I was given two free return tickets to claim and use. I am travelling to London Friday 3rd November for work, so I thought I would claim one of the tickets for my wife to accompany me. We planned to return the 5th.

22/9 sent email to claim tickets

15/10 on hold 2 x 45 mins, no answer

16/10 on hold 1H15 spoke with a lady who's name I cant remember, "will send email to department", "will sort it for you", "will call back", "should receive by middle next week" - nothing forthcoming

26/10 On hold for two hour, no answer

27/10 AM got straight through, spoke to Ann, who reserved seats for us but could not get the tickets, told me she would "contact the delayed ticket line", "get back to me with an answer", nothing forthcoming

27/10 PM on hold for 45 minutes, spoke with Stephen, "nothing I can do", "different department", "no manager here to speak to", "will call you back later", nothing forthcoming

So with the journey only a week away, a hotel booked and no ticket for my wife, what are the options? (apart from going and staying on my own!)

The telephone number that they give, 0345 722 5333, appears to be useless and there is no direct number for the delayed ticket people

Thank you
