Still here, still plodding on. It's the last day of my pay month today and I'm not in my overdraft! 🙌 I'm about £76 in credit!

I've made £205.33 through various things so far in Feb - cashback, free spins, Vinted etc - which has definitely helped. I don't think I would be in this position without doing that.

£19 PADs made so far in Feb, and saved £7.79 in the penny savings challenge. I've also saved £21.77 by doing the Chase round up thing in the app, and £10 in another savings account.

I've paid off my Klarna account this month, so with that, the overdraft and the previous cancellations etc, I've managed to free up £338.99 that's not being immediately used up as soon as I get paid. It's such a freeing feeling.

I'm going to see what sort of dent I've made into the debts overall now...

Oh my gosh, my total debts are now £10869.93, which means it's down £836.75 since the 1st Jan. That is so motivating! (I'm pretty sure there's still interest to be added on this month so I don't think it's totally accurate but ya naww)

Now I've paid off my overdraft I'm going to increase the £1 a day I pay to my highest debt to £6 a day, and start to concentrate on that. Going to back pay and start from the beginning of my month, yesterday.

    My February roundup:

Make £2025 in 2025: I made £220.08 so smashed my monthly target, and bringing me to £380.37 for the year so far. February was good overall but I definitely slacked towards the end of the month. It's actually been a bit of a challenging few weeks overall tbh.
1p savings challenge: My total now is £17.70. I'm starting to get nervous about the coming months now though 🙈
NSDs: Massive fail there this month! I think I only did 4, maybe a couple more but I stopped counting. Absolutely terrible attempt haha
Payment A Day: Up until the end of my pay month on the 20th I was doing £1 a day, and then switched to £6 which actually feels like it may have been too much of a jump but I'll carry on for now. So this month I've paid £73 extra, plus £109.99 main payment. The interest was £68.59, so that feels much better than last month. Overall this year that card is down £80.52 which is creaking bonkers considering I've paid £213.99 😭 can't wait until I qualify for a balance transfer somewhere. Must keep plodding. It will happen!
Grocery challenge: I ended on £295.99/£400, and I think OH got two Gousto boxes again, plus bought a few takeaways.
Weight/Cholesterol: So, so bad, but weirdly no weight on so I'll take it. It's been a hard month and I've really comforted myself with food 🤦 plus I'm getting no time to myself to go to the gym. I think another big thing was slacking on taking my meds.

    March plans:

Make £2025 in 2025: I need to list the other half of the baby bits and the cloth nappies because they're really in my way now. There's a second hand shop near me that I'll take the remaining bits to that didn't sell last month. Hoping to do a car boot this month too as I have so much to sell! OH wants me to sort the bank switches for him and split the money, so I need to get the ball rolling on that too.
1p savings challenge: Should be £23.25 this month which I don't see any problems with... in theory.
NSDs: I think I'm going to do a soft launch with 15 🤣 I don't see how I managed 20 in Jan then struggled to even get 5 in Feb 🤦
Payment A Day: I'm going to carry on with £6 a day for now but I may have to adjust as I get closer to payday! So that should be £186 plus the DD of around £82 I believe, and then the estimated interest of £60, means it should be down £208 🤞
Grocery challenge: For my health I really need to do more of a meal plan, as I've just been winging it. But also I think if I have the basics in then I can make things based on what's reduced as well, which is obviously better for my budget. Maybe I'll plan 4 meals a week, like when we order Gousto.
Weight/Cholesterol: To hit my first quarter target I need to lose just over 8lbs in March, which is totally doable. I just need to stop getting in my own way 😬 first plan, find my watch to track my steps and get 10k a day. Even when I don't get time to get to the gym I can still go for walks with the buggy, but I have this perfectionist mindset and then don't do anything!

I got a £175 nationwide bank switch payment yesterday, so I'm now at £558.39/£2025 😁 apparently they are stopping those at the end of the month so I really need to sort OH's switch too.

I keep buying chocolate and "bad" food 😭 bad for my body and bad for my bank. It even gives me anxiety after I've eaten it now! I have taken the dog on a walk every other day this week though, but once again haven't made it to the gym. I'm considering cancelling it at this point, as much as I love it.

Great news on the switch payment!
I don't think any food is 'bad' food as long as you enjoy it. You are allowed some nice things. It sounds like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself, you're doing great!

You seem to be doing well so maybe regular posting helps keep you on track?

If you don't use the gym then I agree that cancelling seems sensible.  No point in paying for it if you do not use it.

Thank you! I meant bad more in terms of my cholesterol, I'm supposed to be trying to reduce it but just keep stuffing my face with things that will make it worse. I've realised recently that I have a concerning relationship with food and I don't really know how to change it. I definitely feel shame around it and just need to get over it and get my butt to the Dr.
