1st NSD day of the year
ordered my food shopping for tomorrow, which will be £77.65.
Meals all planned:
Spag bol with broccoli and green beans
Burgers with homemade wedges and salad
"Chicken" curry
Jacket potato with beans and salad (and steak for OH)
Pasta bake with salad for me and garlic bread for The Others
Sausage, mash and all the leftover veg
We always have sunday roast at my mum's so I only ever need to plan 6 dinners thankfully.
Breakfasts will be cereal for the children, and either toast, smoothie or yogurt and fruit for me. Lunches will be leftovers, soup, pot noodles or sandwiches, depending on location and energy levels!Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Signed up to some mystery shopping sites this morning and started a bank transfer with First Direct, but will finish that later cos it involves me getting out of bed and finding my ID...
Have done my PAD to CC1 and sent 2p to Monzo. I'm going to list a few bits to sell today as well. I think I still have quite a few of my credit card payments still to come out and then won't have any money left for the rest of the month's food shopping. I've set up the new first direct account, but I didn't want to change my main account, so set up a direct debit from my second account, three standing orders and changed another direct debit payment to that account. I know it says two, but I like to be sure haha. So the switch will be my second account. That should all go through on the 20th.
This morning I've signed up to YouGov, QMee, Curious Cat, micro workers, jam doughnut, jks, msl, ipsos and tern 😬 I don't know how successful these will be. I got 50 points on YouGov, and applied for a phone call job with Tern. Micro workers wanted me to send a text to an American number so I didn't go any further with them 🤦 we'll see what comes about.
Right. Now to list some things for sale I reckon.Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Picked up my shopping but had forgotten to add dog food and washing up liquid, so an extra £4.99 on top, so £83.04 for grocery shopping this week. Planning on a NSD tomorrow (besides my prescription but meds don't count!) I'm happy that everything today was essential, so although it wasn't a NSD, it also wasn't a Spenny one

£8.23 from TCB into my bank today. So £23.23 in total. I was aiming for £5.44 a day, so I'm winning at the moment 🙌Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Paid my 3p to Monzo and £1 to CC1 for today. I've got my lunch packed, coffee cooling and water bottle ready to take to work, so hopefully no spends there. I do need to pay the nursery bill before they go back next week though, I'm thinking maybe childcare won't count for NSD either maybe...
I've just seen that I could've got an extra £30ish with the first direct switch by going through TCB. Doh.
My partner gets his phone back from being fixed today so I'll make him do the switch later, and take a commission haha. I'm also going to get him to open a Monzo account with my link, and I'll do the same with his chase link.
My weight looks like it's going in the right direction too.
No bites on my books yet. Will hopefully add some toys or clothes on later.
All positive here still...Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Wasn't quite a NSD in the end as I ordered OH his Christmas present 🤣 I had to send his shirt back as it didn't fit him but I'd got it in the sale, so the one he wanted as a replacement was £29. It'll only cost me £19 once the refund goes through, so I'll count it like that.
Just won 54p on free spins, and placed a free £2 bet. Checked all my survey sites while I was getting the baby back to sleep.
I've also started a spreadsheet of all my spending, just so I can shock myself mainly. Although Snoop did a pretty good job of that the other day!

Just emptied, cleaned and sold a fish tank for £20. They got a bargain and I got some space back. So that puts me at £43.96 for my £2025 in 2025 challenge. Ahead again!

I'm counting today as a NSD even though I paid £2 for hospital parking. I checked and there's nowhere to park for free around there, even residential as it's permit. So I parked a bit further away for the cheaper option. I didn't go to any shops or buy a coffee, my resolve is holding strong!
I also remembered to take the fuel card with me for a change, so even though I put diesel in my car I didn't have to pay for it. (Thanks OH!)
Nothing happening in my surveys or mystery shopping today. Keep getting screened out on 5 surveys, which is super annoying. I remember swagbucks doing that so I can't quite bring myself to try that one again...
Might have a look at some competitions or freebies while I have my coffee.Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

£1 PAD and 5p penny savings done. I'm counting today as a NSD as OH went to the shops instead of me, and I've only paid nursery fees and school trips myself.

I didn't plan for tea tonight as I forgot mum was away, so I'm hoping to make a pie from scratch to go along with leftover potatoes and frozen veg. Better get on with it TBF.Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025
