Remortgaging / new current account

Hi, I don't know if anyone has any insight in to this .... My current 2 year fix expires in January and I'm looking to remortgage ASAP - can do this 90 days early, so within the next couple of weeks hopefully. I'll be staying with the same lender - for a variety of reasons (not least that they're actually very competitive!).
My query is this - if I apply to open a new current account this week (potential switch to Yorkshire Bank for £250 bonus) will this have an adverse effect on my credit score and impact my ability to remortgage?
