Need advice!! We have exchanged contracts on the sale of our house with our conveyancer and any deposits have been passed up the chain. We are using a separate solicitor for the purchase of our new build property and they have passed the deposit up the chain to Bellway.
Today we received an email from our conveyance dealing with the sale of our property stating they our now insolvent! We exchanged last week and are due to complete on 24th Nov, will it be a case of getting in touch with our solicitir dealing with our onward purchase and get them to take over the case?
Really stressed by this and have not been able to contact anyone given that it's after office hours.
Thanks in advance

The solicitors files will get passed to another solicitors usually, but this can take time. I have only experienced this once in 4-5 years. The firm who took over, prioritised the ones due to complete imminently.
If you are due to complete within the next 7-10 days, I would be on the phone first thing.
You could also choose another solicitor if you wish, and have your files sent over to them.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
