Going court! Need defense ;-(

Good evening

I received a private parking notice last year for parking without a ticket while I went to get chips:j

I received various letters over 9-10 months, which I didn't respond to.

Now I have a county court letter requesting 250.85 plus 25 Court fee plus 50 legal representation costs, total 325.85

Issue date 27/12/16, amount 236
Date of court issue 11/10.

I logged in now and ticked 'will defend all claim' as I believe this extends to 28 days.

Claimant is civil enforcement LTD

Letter previously from zzps BPA

How do I go about construction of a defence, please:mad:

by reading and following post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread near the top of this very forum

and use this as the basis and adapt it

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5729157

read other recent CEL court claim threads too (there are dozens)

if they have said you will receive the POC within 14 days , then read the advice about that too

and read about the recent protoccols that came in 24 days ago as well

    so plenty of reading required

Read one of the dozens of CEL defences written over the last week or two for inspiration.

There are two CEL defences linked from post#2 of the NEWBIES pinned/sticky thread too.

    Date of court issue 11/10.
This is after the new Pre-Action Protocols, did they adhere to these new protocols in their claim or in the LBC you may have received prior to this?

As above there are lots of CEL defences on this forum, one of the reasons to craft a good one is that often we see CEL discontinue when they see a good defence (forum assisted). You should be able to get a good first draft posted up here from looking at other CEL threads and then it can be tailored for you with reviews.
