Worrying about debt

  • I will see if it will let me. Even though I'm in the final year of my degree. Although I'm terrified of having a 0% overdraft in case I feel it's a buffer I can dip into more.

I know what you mean but its no different to having a 0% card and you could always keep it at a low amount so that you can't go crazy with it. You would be able to transfer over one of your CC debts and more able to pay the balance off as you won't be charged any interest.

Do what you feel comfortable with, it was just an idea to help you cut interest costs.

  • Well I applied for a natwest student account, it says it will take a few days to email me with details or something. I just really hate using an overdraft as it's so difficult to get out of. Hopefully though once I pay off mum's loan and obviously this 0% that is due to run out soon. I can start throwing money at my two real debts of the other two credit cards.

Then when they are paid off I will look at paying off the loan. Although I think I will pay that off before I finish clearing my cc debt.
    Argh this is so annoying!
On the plus side I started to teach myself sage accounts using the online training. As I help my brothers out with their kitchens bedrooms and bath business so I said I would make it my baby. It's quite interesting now I'm getting into the swing of it :-)

  • Still heard nothing about the overdraft. Going to give until the end of next week and then contact natwest. Ahh well, if I can't then I will just carry on as I am.
Other than that not much to report apart from my sister trying to get me to start dating again

I didn't hear anything about mine it just appeared one day. Ooh how do you feel about dating again? I think I'm done when it comes to dating!

  • I can't face it, eating with someone new, having to be the best of you as an individual.
I just can't see how to start up again. I don't want to join seedy dating sites where everyone are weidos or bsiacally engaged
I don't trust men in general after the stunt my ex pulled which is partly why I'm in so much debt.
However it's not just that, I've spent 6 month alone and now the idea of having someone else is the loop is Scarry.

My ex moved on after three months which goes to show true love means nothing.
So dating is at zero so far. Although 2 of my best friends have also said that I should at least be out there a little bit. I duno maybe I will be happy getting debt free single.
Although I know some people would say you need that extra push of a guy around to ensure you hit your goals.... Someone at least tell me what they would do!
This is a pathetic plea of 'i need help' instead.of this is how great I am doing :-S

I don't think you need the extra push of a guy to ensure you hit your goals, people are more than capable of hitting their goals whether they are single or not single. I think if you're not ready then you aren't ready, don't do something because other people tell you to, do things as and when you are ready.
