Are our mortgage hopes hopeless with CCJ not satisfied?

A bit of history, both myself and my husband were discharged from bankruptcy just over 3 years ago. File cleanup is complete and all accurate so our Credit files show a great picture of late.

We have a 15% deposit and good salaries.

The problem is I have a CCJ that was included on my bankruptcy so I have no liability to pay it, but it cannot be marked as satisfied by the court. I’m exploring every option to try to change it’s status.

If I can’t get it marked as satisfied or get it set aside, are our hopes hopeless until it goes from my credit file in 2 years? Or are there any lenders who we can turn to or should we take it on the chin and keep saving for 2 more years?

you need a broker who deals in adverse credit to advise you of your individual circumstances

As above. You need a good broker that will be able to source you a mortgage that accounts for your financial situation

  • Thanks for your replies, where do I find a recommendation for this type of broker?

I can use google but how do I know they are any good? Obviously I can't ask a friend in this case.
