Engraving at timpsons

I want to have a small engraving on the reverse of a necklace. It's just 3 small letters and 2 numbers. How much would it be?. And can they engrave small surfaces?.

I don't know the details your asking but I really think you'd be better off with a jeweller to engrave something. Timpsons would be great for engraving something onto a key fob but I am doubtful their tools or their handicraft would be delicate or exact enough to look OK on jewellery, the skill of engraving isn't something taught overnight.


If you try a jewellery store they may have details of jewelers or companies who offer services like this and they will have images of previous work they have done to show you what they are capable of doing.


If you do decide to try Timpsons for this, please do yourself a favor and ask first if they have examples of previous work so you can make an enformed decision if the item of jewellery has any value or meaning to you.

Any good jeweller should are able to do it. Impossible to know how much but probably between £10 and £25. Ask for a quote before proceeding.

Timpsons use a machine for engraving, it's not manually done now.
