further to a previous post I don't appear to be on the electoral roll for where I live, which is appearing as a negative on my credit file-once rectified will the CRA's be updated automatically, at some point, or should I do this manually? does it actually make a difference to your rating

This will have a big impact if you are not registered... not just Credit File but anything you apply for....

It will take a couple of months for CRAs to be updated, but its a must to do...

thanks for this, I've just registered online and its 'being processed'
so to confirm that's it from me, the CRAs will, in time, will be updated

I moved house beginning of December and notified countil on the day ,it took them 10 weeks to "process"

i’ve just noticed the crucial question mark missing from my last post! it wasn’t meant to be a statement!!

so to ask again-will the CRAs automatically update or do i need to do anything? don’t really care how long it takes

Yes, CRAs will update Electrol roll - remember they only update what you see every 30 days, so it might get picked up whilst you waiting for a new report....

... but it could take a couple of months... both for someone to actually add you... and then for CRAs to pick it up.
