I am the Executor for my Father's estate and wondered whether PPI was charged on Equity Release mortgages?

Of course not. PPI on mortgages exists to protect you should you be unable to pay the mortgage due to unemployment, sickness etc. In the case of equity release this isn’t an issue. Nothing is paid back on the loan until the house is eventuailly sold.0
