Anyone know is any shops are doing any offers on books ATM?

Ive tried WHSMITH, Amazon, Waterstones and the book people but cant see any?
Something like 3 for 2 or similar
Im after 3 books - The Dangerous Book for Boys (either version), The Glorious book for Girls and the 2008 Guinnes Book of Records - all Big books going for between £10- £15 so would like to make a bit of a saving if I can :o

  • A couple of weeks ago, WHSmith were giving away vouchers that gave £5 off WYS £10 - might be worth asking to see if there're any spare vouchers going around. These expire on the 14 Oct 2007. Alternatively, you could buy each book separately and use the 200 points WHS voucher (see voucher/code thread) with each purchase (do it on different days though!)?

Waterstones are doing a £5 off £25 spend at the moment plus free delivery on all orders so might be worth looking at.

I've just looked at The Book People and if you have access to the VIP lounge, they are doing The Great Big Glorious Book for Girls for £6.99 and the Guinness Book 2008 for £9.99.

A good book comparison site to find the best price is

    www.find-book.co.uk
    or
    www.bookkoob.co.uk

also check if the bookpeople have any of your books as they are always cheap

Actually I have judt looked on them and found Guinness World Records 2008 (With Glow-in-the-Dark Features) Age Range: 8 + With fantastic new sections to delve into, amazing new records to marvel at and hundreds of sensational photographs to pore over, this compelling, action-packed extravaganza is more entertaining than ever

    Good luck

    Thanks for the replies!

According to the comparison sites Tescos seems to be the cheapest all rounder (which is handy for my clubcard)
if you have access to the VIP lounge,

They seem to do th Girls book cheapest - but how do you become a VIP?

    Thanks again

Never mind - just found you need to make 3 orders before you can access VIP Lounge

Just wanted to add - my mum popped over this afternoon and I was telling her about wanting to buy these boxs

The clever lady only went and produced one of those WHS £5 vouchers!

Mothers can be useful sometimes :D

I used one of these vouchers in WHSmith today for the Guinness Book of Records. Saw it in one store for £9 so couldn't use voucher then went to another store and it was £10, used voucher so got it for £5 as they were no longer issuing points so no extra 200 points.

hi, i bought both the glorious girls book and the boys handbook at costco they were much cheaper there (cant remember how much gils one was?) but boys one was £3.60 for the smaller book which is as good as half price. they are great for kids books and usually have the latest new releases for adults too at v competative prices
