I've no money in Nest, but a quick google of their site would seem to indicate that there would be no problems with transferring out so don't rule them out on that basis. Though there do seem to be some people on this forum having issues in transferring in.

I'd have a good look around at reviews etc. I was given 'Hargreaves lansdown' as a recommendation on here, but they have one of the worst trust pilot feedbacks and ratings....'Interactive Investing' seem to have the better reviews and cheaper overall costings. Depends what you want to do.
  • Are trust pilot (or any other sort of) feedbacks and ratings reliable to depend on as a method of making a choice? I suspect that, generally speaking, people who have had a bad experience are more likely to leave feedback and ratings (which will of course be poor) than people who are happy. No matter what the subject matter - broadband, financial services etc etc.

Hargreaves Lansdown are good to start with as their website is easy to use, and they are good on the phone.
Either a LISA or a SIPP / personal pension get tax relief paid in from the government. An ISA doesn't, but is tax free when you take money out (pensions are 25% tax-free only).
If you have a works pension, try and make sure you pay in enough to get the company's maximum contribution - free money!
